Budget Thursday: Hestley Loafer

If we’d had an Accessory Tuesday this week, I would have posted this Paul Green loafer (even though I’m not normally a loafer girl). These $40 loafers from Indigo Rd. are much more affordable and come recommended from a reader, who said they’re a great option for wearing with ankle pants and so on. She said they’re “Super comfy right out of the box and a great fit for someone who has problems with their heels slipping out of shoes. They also do a good job of straddling the line between menswear inspired and still feminine.” The shoes are available at DSW in black in sizes 6-11. Hestley Loafer

Budget Thursday: Reversible Woven Cami

I did not realize it until I found this particular reversible camisole, but WHBM has an entire line of reversible clothes, including camisoles, tops, and dresses in regular and plus sizes. Now, while this can be great — particularly if you’re traveling — I would note that if you’re dealing with a print on one side and a dark solid on the other side, you’re probably best advised to wear the print side first to avoid the inevitable deodorant stains — then wear the dark side second. In any event, I think this woven camisole is cute, and I like both the polka dot and the stripey side, and I also like the way that the reverse side peeks out a bit at the bottom. The pictured cami is $49. Reversible Woven Cami

Accessory Tuesday: Sharna Cross Strap

These shoes from Rockport are very highly rated at Zappos, and they’re on sale, too (for $55.99 from $80). They look like they’d be great shoes for running around after your kiddo, but they’re also flattering, particularly because the crossed straps dip below the line where the typical ankle strap would go. Rockport Sharna Cross Strap

Makeup Monday: EcoBrow Eyebrow Defining Wax

EcoBrow ReviewI picked up this eyebrow defining wax in one of those two-second decisions at the end of a threading appointment at Shobha Salon in Soho (along with the little defining brush, which I really like). I kind of worried I spent too much and that I wasn’t going to use it (and I didn’t try it for months), but I really like it. It’s a little darker than I would normally use, but as long as I use a light application, it’s fine. (There are six shades.) You can find it at Amazon for $30 (eligible for Prime), and it’s also available at FreePeopleEcoBrow All Natural Eyebrow Defining Wax

Budget Thursday: Ruffle-Trim Shetland Herringbone Jacket

This gorgeous jacket at Talbots is on a crazy sale: It was $169 and is now marked to $60. There are a ton of sizes left in misses, petites, woman, and woman petites, but the catch is that the only solid color available in most sizes is this sort of yellowy orange mustard. (There’s also an ivory tartan that they call a “festive holiday plaid,” and a pink plaid). It’s an unusual color, but I’m seeing it more and more — with burgundy, cobalt, navy, etc. This looks very cool and modern but still feminine and sophisticated, and I would definitely give it a try. It’s one of those jackets to wear either as a really warm layer for inside or to wear outside when you need a coat but not a heavy one. Ruffle-Trim Shetland Herringbone Jacket

Accessory Tuesday: Stella Flat

These Naturalizer flats look so fun — I love them. They only have a couple of reviews so far, but they’re very positive. I think the pictured lilac color is really cute, but note that they also come in a lighter pink and in black. This looks like a great, sophisticated, sleek flat and it’s only $99 at Nordstrom, and Naturalizer. It comes in sizes 4–11. Stella Flat
