What Maternity Brands Should People Stalk on Resale Sites?

While I was updating an old post on collared blouses, and reviewing the section on maternity-friendly options, I suddenly realized: ROSIE POPE! I totally forgot about her! She always seemed super nice! Whatever happened to her line of clothing?

Her collection, it turns out, is no more… but it’s available on a TON of resale sites.

So, today’s question: What maternity brands of yesteryear should people stalk on resale sites like Poshmark and so forth? They don’t necessarily have to be FANCY brands, but brands that you remember holding up really well.

Maternity Brands I Would Recommend on Resale Sites

Fortunately for all involved, my baby factory is closed, so this is purely a hypothetical exercise… Some brands that no longer make maternity clothes that once did include:

  • Theory: They had a maternity version of their classic trouser (the Max C, if memory serves)!
  • Tart: Great blazers; I think they’ve stopped making them recently.
  • Japanese Weekend: People LOVED the simple skirts and more.
  • maybe worth a try: Loft: The quality was typical Loft, but they had a ton of office-appropriate items, particularly nice maternity pants.
  • Nuka: I had three pieces from this brand that I got on Amazon, all for under $30, and they were my absolute favorite pieces. I should note that they weren’t necessarily work pieces — one was a flippy summer dress and the other was a maxi dress — but they were perfect for what they were. I still see a few items from the brand on Poshmark…

Brands Still in Production to Stalk on Resale Sites

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but some of the brands that come to mind immediately include:

  • Seraphine: Duchess Kate wore the dresses, and their pants are some of the most tailored maternity trousers you can get (included in our list of the most stylish maternity pants for the office).
  • Isabella Oliver: This brand still makes stuff (and has a whole resale section on their site), but one of their best dresses is no longer made… the Ivybridge.
  • Angel Maternity: Not fancy, but this brand has made a bunch of solid workwear over the years (and still does).
  • Maternal America: same — not fancy but lots of solid workwear
  • fancier denim brands: Paige, Joe’s, J.Brand, 7 For All Mankind, Citizens, and more, have all had maternity lines…

{related: this post is due for an update, but we HAVE discussed companies that rent maternity workwear}

Readers, how about you — what maternity brands of yesteryear would you recommend on resale sites? (What brands still in production would you recommend stalking?)
