Maternity Monday: Slouch Dress

Hatch Slouch DressI’m generally not a fan of the uber-slouchy, uber-boxy, so-ugly-it’s-cool style of fashion that’s become popular lately — but even I can get behind this dress.  I like the bright, happy color, and let’s face it, some of the more fitted bodycon styles are the last thing one wants to wear while pregnant (no matter how proud you are of your bump).  I’d try it with tights, flat boots, and a closeknit sweater (silk, maybe merino) to hug my shoulders and arms.  The dress is $208 at Shopbop, also available in black.  Hatch Slouch Dress

Maternity Monday: Wool Boucle Coat

HM Mama Wool Boucle CoatIt’s gotten rather cold, suddenly, so I thought I’d go on the hunt for maternity coats for pregnant readers. The usual budget suspects like Kohls, Old Navy, and Macy’s all have coats for under $100 — but my absolute favorite is this wool boucle coat from H&M. It looks sleek and sophisticated, as well as warm. It’s $99, and available in sizes XS-XL. H&M Mama Wool Boucle Coat

P.S. Note that Nordstrom has a convertible coat for $150 — I’ve only seen much more expensive versions before.  Even though I’m less fond of the puffy coat look, this would be my coat of choice if I were pregnant — as well as on maternity leave — during super cold months.

P.P.S.  Note that Piperlime has a pretty killer “take 30% off any order over $200” sale right now, with tons of great accessories to pick from, including Corporette reader favorites like Stuart Weitzman and Kate Spade New York included in the mix.

P.P.P.S. Note that sister brands Gap and Banana Republic are both 40% off today, and Old Navy is 35% off, all with code CHEER.

Maternity Monday: Twinkle Maternity Dress

Dote Twinkle Maternity DressI always feel like a basic black dress is a must-have for pregnancy. I like that this one has a high neckline, and I think it could be worn a few different ways — which always helps to avoid overspending on your maternity wardrobe (as discussed in our eBook on maternity style). Try it layered with a thin turtleneck or long-sleeved tee beneath it, worn with a waterfall cardigan or blazer on top of it, and even belted (above the bump, obviously) or plain. The dress was $109, but is now marked to $87.20 at Amazon — and use code 20OFFVET to take another 20% off. Dote Twinkle Maternity Dress

Everyone Thursday: Browsing for Books Cardigan

ModCloth Browsing for Books Cardigan | CorporetteMomsHat tip to editor Kate who found this cardigan — I like it so much I may have to buy one for myself. It’s made of a hand washable ribbed knit with an elasticized, cinched back panel. It seems like a great thing to wear over a sheath dress or with trousers whether you’re pregnant, nursing, or beyond. Another big plus: it’s $39.99. Nice. ModCloth Browsing for Books Cardigan

Here’s a plus-size alternative.

Nursing Tuesday: Avebury Nursing Top

Isabella Oliver Avebury Nursing TopLet’s ignore the fact, for the moment, that this is my very favorite color, and focus instead on all the other great stuff this top has going for it. It can be worn in both maternity and while nursing (and even if pumping, I suspect). It looks super cozy and warm, but still professional and flattering. It has a modest neckline, and comes in three colors, sizes 0-5. And, it’s machine wash/tumble dry. Lovely. It’s available online-only at Nordstrom for $115. Isabella Oliver Avebury Nursing Top

Maternity Monday: Leopard Print Sweater Dress

Loft Maternity Leopard Print Sweater Dress | CorporetteMomsI am loving all of the blue leopard influences at Loft right now, including this interesting wool sweater dress. I like that it isn’t too booby, too twee (no bow or other cuteness on the bump!) and I like that it just generally looks like a cute dress for work or weekend. It’s $94.50 at Loft, full price (but you can use code FLASH to get 60% off). Loft Maternity Leopard Print Sweater Dress
