This stripey dress comes in three colors: gray, mint, and navy. I feel like navy stripes are a dime a dozen, but both the gray and the mint feel fresh and new. I suspect the gray would be more versatile for work, though, especially considering that you want to streamline your maternity wardrobe as much as … Read More about Maternity Monday: V-Neck Tee Shirt Dress
Machine-Washable Work Clothes
Looking for machine-washable work clothes? Every Wednesday we include a wear-it-to-work recommendation that is machine washable -- you can see our most recent picks below. Don't miss some of our bigger articles on this topic, though, including:
Washable Wednesday: Wrap Dress
Today is “Amazon Prime Day,” where allegedly Prime Members get more deals than Black Friday… yet I must admit it’s a struggle to figure out how best to narrow the choices down and see the best deals. Have you ladies found any great deals today, either as part of the lightning deals or the general “Prime Day” sale? One of the big things to note is that many women’s clothes, accessories and more are 30% off (discount taken at checkout), including this lovely washable dress from Lark & Ro. The brand is new to me but has a lot of affordable, good looking workwear — and most of the pieces I clicked on were machine wasahble. I like the print on this wrap dress, the work-appropriate length, and the price: it’s $69 before the discount, but comes down to $50ish after the discount. Lark & Ro Wrap Dress
Psst: I do see that there are a lot of nice maternity and nursing bras in the sale — deep discounts plus an extra 30% off. Nice.

Maternity Monday: Jolene Knot-Front Maternity and Nursing Short Sleeve Dress
This Seraphine dress is a classic for maternity, and for good reason — it’s flattering, interesting, and easy for both pregnancy and nursing — and it’s even machine washable. Lovely. It’s $89-96 at Amazon. Seraphine Jolene Knot-Front Maternity and Nursing Short Sleeve Dress (L-2) Building a maternity wardrobe for work? Washable Wednesday: Drape Neck Zip Cardigan
This well-reviewed, machine washable zip cardigan is calling my name — the gray looks nice, but it also comes in black and three different stripey colors. Reviewers note that it’s super soft, “comfortable but not frumpy,” and generally fabulous. The sale is great too: it was $68 but is now marked to $23. Caslon® Drape Neck … Read More about Washable Wednesday: Drape Neck Zip Cardigan
Nursing Tuesday: Asymmetrical Tiered Nursing Top
This nursing top from Milk looks lovely — I like the high neckline, the bright, happy colors, and the functionality of the shirt. It’s $44 at Amazon. Milk Nursingwear Asymmetrical Tiered Nursing Top (L-2)
Washable Wednesday: Jersey Shift Dress
Sometimes, you just want a machine washable basic black sheath. Old Navy has delivered on this point in the past — I don’t think this is the exact dress that I had a few seasons ago, but it’s very close. I like that it comes in regular, petite, and tall — whereas with Lands’ End I tend … Read More about Washable Wednesday: Jersey Shift Dress
Maternity Monday: Essential Maternity Blazer
I have mixed opinions on maternity blazers, but I do like the looks of this one from Tart — the silhouette is versatile, and the fabric looks comfortable (and is machine washable). The ikat is a fun, on-trend print, but the gray will take you far. They’re both $128 at Nordstrom. Tart Essential Maternity Blazer … Read More about Maternity Monday: Essential Maternity Blazer
Washable Wednesday: Back Zip Pencil Skirt
This skirt looks promising — machine wash, hang dry, scuba fabric. It does have a big exposed zipper (with a ribbon!) which I know some readers really hate — but here it just seems like an interesting detail on the skirt. It’s $79, online only at Nordstrom, available in sizes XS-XL, as well as plus … Read More about Washable Wednesday: Back Zip Pencil Skirt
Pumping Tuesday: Bay’s Nursing Scarf
I recently came across an article that advised pumping moms to bring their nursing covers to work to use as a pumping cover as well — it hadn’t occurred to me but I think it’s great advice. I like the listed reason (that you can have friends in your office to maximize the time without making … Read More about Pumping Tuesday: Bay’s Nursing Scarf
Washable Wednesday: Short Sleeve Wool Dress
Lands’ End has so many washable dresses, but this washable wool dress looks great — sleek and elegant. I like the pockets, and although I’m generally not a fan of the self belt, I like the way they’ve styled it here. (I’d still probably swap it out for my own belt, but there you go.) It’s $95, available … Read More about Washable Wednesday: Short Sleeve Wool Dress
Everyone Thursday: Front Zip Blazer
Moto jackets are everywhere this season, and I like this affordable, machine washable version from Mossimo. This beigey grey looks lovely, but it also comes in peach, black, and stripes. It’s $34.99. Mossimo Front Zip Blazer (L-3)
Washable Wednesday: Henrietta Dress
Boden has a number of machine washable, pumping friendly wrap dresses right now — particularly if you prefer the Freemie style of pumping. This Henrietta dress is marked down, but I also like this wrap dress. All of the fun patterns are not only bright and happy, but they’re also great for hiding stains, whether … Read More about Washable Wednesday: Henrietta Dress
