Machine-Washable Work Clothes

Looking for machine-washable work clothes? Every Wednesday we include a wear-it-to-work recommendation that is machine washable -- you can see our most recent picks below. Don't miss some of our bigger articles on this topic, though, including:

Maternity Monday: Foldover-Waist Linen-Blend Pants

Old Navy Maternity Foldover-Waist Linen-Blend Pants | CorporetteMomsPregnancy can sometimes bring with it some unwelcome leg issues — varicose veins, weight gain, not being able to see your legs to shave properly, etc. I say, wear dresses if you want — but if you’re personally uncomfortable with that, then these linen pants look great. They come in five colors, and are $35 at Old Navy, sizes XS-XXL. Old Navy Maternity Foldover-Waist Linen-Blend Pants

Washable Wednesday: Gray Flat Front Washable Wool Pants

JNY Collection Gray Flat Front Washable Wool PantsJones New York continues to have a zillion sales with steep discounts — as one commenter on Corporette noted, this feels like a clean-out-close-up sale.  So: if you like the brand at all, take a swing by now. (Here was our deal alert from a few weeks ago.) For years they’ve had a great washable wool line of suiting, including these basic pants — they were $99, are now marked to $79, and with the “extra 50% off all sale styles,” they come down to under $40.  Nice. Maternity Monday: ‘Bengaline’ Straight Maternity Skirt

Japanese Weekend 'Bengaline' Straight Maternity Skirt | CorporetteMomsThe Bengaline maternity skirt has been around for several years now, and I like the looks of it — it’s simple, chic, and stretchy; everything you need in a pregnancy skirt. It’s $68 at Nordstrom. Japanese Weekend ‘Bengaline’ Straight Maternity Skirt

Washable Wednesday: Westminster Dress

Boden Westminster Dress | CorporetteMomsThis machine washable dress from Boden looks fabulous — nice ladylike hemline, flattering fit-and-flare shape, and a high neckline. It’s available in a variety of colors, all on sale (which, alas, means limited sizes). It’s $96-$110. Boden Westminster Dress

Psst: In case you missed it, we rounded up washable work pants last week at Corporette.

Finally Friday: Pull-On Pencil Skirt

pull-on ponte skirtThis pull-on ponte knit skirt looks great, particularly if your middle is still a little touchy, either from a c-section scar, some postpartum weight fluctuation, or, hey, early pregnancy.  (I particularly remember while pregnant with Harry (my second) that I couldn’t stand any zippers or buttons at a super early point in the pregnancy, like 8 weeks or something, where I clearly wasn’t showing yet.) This skirt has lots of positive reviews at Macy’s, and comes in four colors, sizes XS-XL.  It’s normally $42.50, but today is marked to $24.99. Psst: if you’re in a position where you really like pull-on styles, be sure to check out Jag’s pull-on jeans — I first learned about them by readers raving about them over at Corporette.

Everyone Thursday: Wrap-Front Jersey Dress

Old Navy Wrap DressHappy Thursday, ladies! I really like the look of these short-sleeved wrap dresses at Old Navy.  Not only are they machine washable and cute, they’re also great to wear if your weight is fluctuating (particularly in early pregnancy or postpartum), and they’re good for nursing.  The same print also comes in a maternity dress for when you really need it; if you’re not a fan of the print the wrap dress also comes in a solid purple and black. (It seems like it came in a lot of other colors and prints at one point too, but they’re mostly sold out.  Lots of plus size options still left though.)  The pictured dress is $29.50, and available in regular, tall and petite sizes. Wrap-Front Jersey Dress
