I’m going to be a secret reader next week for my daughter’s 2nd grade class. Any big hits for that age group? I feel like we don’t have much at home since my daughter is into chapter books now, but I can get anything from the library.
we are going skiing for spring break (hopefully there is snow) and i cannot locate my ski googles. any recs? not looking to spend a fortune.
We have a nanny who was supposed to be temporary to help us transition to daycare. The baby is definitely ready for daycare. He’s very social and he loves being around other children.
But the nanny is amazing and the baby is definitely attached to her. She would like to stay on even at reduced hours. I would like to keep our foot in the door with her for times I’m traveling for work or we want to have a day to ourselves. Daycare won’t do part time; it’s full time or nothing. I’m struggling to come up with an option that would make sense for our schedules and for the nanny. Evenings are so short rn I don’t think we need help then. Maybe two hours in the morning? Does anyone have a schedule that works well for them?
I enjoyed yesterday’s comments on the post about resetting meal time and how we value different things. In my case, I do care about nutrition (and try to do as much organic stuff at home as we can), but I also don’t like cooking, I have the world’s worst kitchen, and I refuse to spend a Sunday meal prepping – so I’m constantly on the hunt for easy weeknight meals that can be made as fast as possible and for packaged products that are “less bad” (I don’t believe foods are bad). I’m totally fine serving scrambled eggs with a side of sliced cucumber and a piece of good sourdough if it means we get more time for the things we do value, like family biking on Sunday. Anyone else with a similar style have any recommendations for recipes or products for me? We’ll try pretty much anything as long as it’s easy :) Right now we probably have a bit too much dairy and pasta though so maybe ideas excluding those.
