This elegant maxi dress works for both pregnancy and nursing, thanks to a button front.
This collared dress has a matching self-tie belt that adjusts to your changing body. Wear this dress now on a tropical babymoon with flip-flops and later to an evening out with sleek pumps. You can even take it to a more relaxed office with a pair of tall boots.
Kimi & Kai’s Abree Dress is $128 at Nordstrom and comes in sizes XS-XL.
Psst: Looking for info about nursing clothes for working moms or tips for pumping at the office? We’ve got them both…

if anyone still needs gift ideas, last night for hanukkah my 7.5 year olds received the skillmatics my storybook art kit…and were up at the crack of dawn to continue writing their stories
Help! My 2.5 year old has a fever (been to the doctor, some kind of virus, treat the symptoms) and she has just developed a new behavior: refusing medicine, holding on for dear life and refusing consistently, and spitting it out.
Any advice on how you’ve handled this?
My cousin and her 8 year old twins are flying into town for a last minute christmas visit with our local extended family. I’m not especially close to her or the kids, but there is a tentative family gathering and I assume gifts will be exchanged for the kids. Should I just get them a small lego set and call it a day or some coloring supplies for the plane? I don’t want to load them down with random junk since they are flying. I guess I could always text her and mutually agree we aren’t exchanging gifts for our kids? I don’t want to end up in a one sided gift giving situation.
Just wanted to share how much I appreciate getting a bird feeder for my toddler. It’s such a joy to watch birds with him, and very cute when he determines the birds need more food and asks “budseed – nom nom”
Inspired by CB UK’s post, any great ideas for Santa cookies? I’d love to have a yearly tradition recipe but haven’t found The One yet. In my mind Christmas M&Ms are involved but maybe I need to let that go. Chocolate is a must though.
I know I’m not alone here. Just venting as one sometimes needs to in December. My 10 year old DD gets glowing report cards. She’s doing so well at school and so well socially. Her report card from her extracurricular waxes on about her great attitude and how much they love her personality. Her friends’ parents love her like family, etc.
But at home, man, I can’t stand her fifty percent of the time. I know she’s letting it all out on us because that’s where she’s most comfortable but it’s just not fun. She throws anxiety fits, is super stubborn, won’t get ready on time, goes and messes up siblings’ bedtimes, etc. etc. Defiant. Argues. It’s the worst! I’m proud of her, but I don’t like being around her!
I bought untangled. I know distancing is normal around this age. I know it’s a stressful time of year. But yeah, we’re a less happy home right now. And it’s almost more frustrating because everyone I talk to compliments me on how great she is to be around and what a wonderful influence she is on her friends and younger kids!
If anyone needs an easy cookie exchange cookie, I made Dorrie Greenspan’s World Peace cookie and they were delicious. We’ve snarfed them all and I’m tempted to make another batch. I added cocoa nibs for some extra crunch, and used vegan butter so they are accidentally vegan.
