I wish I could find more costume / statement necklaces in silver or silver tone metals. It’s a sea of gold-tone.
Would you baptize/christen your kids if it was important to your family but of absolutely no importance to you? We have a little one and her grandparents and great-grandparents are all very concerned she has not yet been baptized. I started doing some research and called around to see what was involved to see if I could placate them….and I just feel phony. I don’t feel great about standing up and proclaiming I’m going to raise this kid as a Very Serious Christian? Anyone I’d want to be the godparent (in the loosest of terms) is jewish or embarrassingly lapsed christian.

Dropped the kiddo at elementary school in the loaner car from the dealer, picked up my “old” (2008!) not-a-minivan-I-swear, made it the ob/gyne for the Harmony blood draw bc I’m 10 weeks along and Advanced Maternal Age, came into work and sold my 1st consulting services (yeah!) and going by my parents’ house today at lunch to drop off the carseat that I borrowed from them for the loaner car, and keep my billable rate in the 90% this week.
Go working moms! We can do it!

OMG, husband is out of town, baby woke up every 3 hours and then refused to go back in the crib after the 5 am wakeup. I gave up and pulled her into bed with me at 6 am, only to have the doorbell ring at 7 am and the dogs go bonkers. I have two major deadlines this morning and a meeting this afternoon, but I’m wrecked.
In a related question – does anyone have suggestions for diapers that will keep my kiddo from feeling wet at night? We switched to Pampers BabyDry when she was a newborn and it solved the problem, but now even those don’t work so she wakes up screaming and trying to rip off the diaper. Fun times.
Love this, but apparently the gray is already sold out. :(
