Feeding Tuesday: Pima Button-Front Pin-Tucked Top

L.L. Bean Pima Button-Front Pin-Tucked Top, Long-Sleeve | CorporetteMomsButton-front shirts are classics for pumping. However, in addition to the possibility of gaping problems, button-fronts can be difficult to care for — and the iron-free versions may be treated with chemicals (formaldehyde, etc.) that you want to avoid while you’re in the pregnancy corridor and around babies. I like the look of these pin-tucked, button-front shirts from L.L. Bean, which are easily washed, and come in a number of lovely colors. I’d wear it with a structured piece to offset the casualness — a blazer or a pencil skirt would both look great. The blouse is $40, available in both regular and petite sizes XS-XL. L.L. Everyone Thursday: Tweed One-Button Jacket

Lafayette 148 New York Tweed One-Button Jacket | CorporetteMomsFor Everyone Thursday (appropriate for pregnant, postpartum, and beyond), yes, I’ve chosen a non-maternity blazer — because, at least for my pregnancies, I could wear regular blazers (unbuttoned, sure) pretty much until I was ready to pop. I’m curious to hear what others think — are maternity blazers a waste of money? In any event: I looove this dark blue jacket, which is a dark yet vibrant enough blue that it can be worn with black without that “did she get dressed in the dark” fear that sometimes accompanies pairing black with navy. The blazer is on a great sale, too — was $548, but is currently under $200 at Neiman Marcus Last Call. Lafayette 148 New York Tweed One-Button Jacket

(Here are a couple of plus-size options.)

Everyone Thursday: Harlow Frontal Necklace

Kendra Scott 'Harlow' Frontal Necklace | CorporetteHappy Thursday! I like the simplicity of this necklace, as well as the option to wear it as tight or as loose around your neck as you like. The fact that it comes in eight colors speaks pretty highly of it, too. It was $195 but is now $156 at Nordstrom. Kendra Scott ‘Harlow’ Frontal Necklace

Finally Friday: Everygirl Tote

LeSportsac Everygirl Tote | CorporetteMomsI love the more subdued, textured patterns and colors that LeSportsac is coming out with lately. Take, for example, this Everygirl tote, made out of their classic nylon. At 12.25″ x 7″ x 12″, it isn’t huge but strikes me as plenty big for all of your stuff and — in early days, at least — for use as a diaper bag, one that your partner would be happy to grab. (Am I the only one whose baby diaper bag was miniscule but toddler diaper bag is huge? Also, do you guys have any interest in seeing what’s IN my diaper bag?) The tote also comes in a nice navy nylon with a floral texture, as well as about 7 other colors, from $82 to $102. (6PM has a few more colors, included a muted gray with a floral texture, for $71.) Everyone Thursday: Drape Neck Zip Cardigan

Caslon Drape Neck Zip Cardigan | CorporetteMomsWhen my first son was born I got obsessed with a terrycloth cardigan from Old Navy. (How obsessed? I am sorry to tell you that, in what I hope was a bout of postpartum hormones, I wore it to my 35th birthday party). Anyhoo: I’m on the hunt for a new one, and I like this highly-rated drape neck zip cardigan from Caslon, available in both regular and petite sizes XS-XL. It comes in four colors (gray, black, a beige “morel,” and a light green “olive grove”) and I kind of want them all. It looks nice zipped up or not, and would be nice whether you’re pregnant, nursing, in the sticky-fingers phase of momhood, or beyond. It’s $68 at Nordstrom. Caslon Drape Neck Zip Cardigan

Psst: Here are two plus-size options: one with a shawl collar (terry) and one with a drape neck (not terry).

P.S.: Happy Rosh Hashanah!
P.P.S. If you’re thinking, “Gosh, I wish Kat posted more expensive items,” here’s a $258 version of a terrycloth cardigan.

Finally Friday: Rose Petals Caliente Slingback

Rose Petals Caliente Slingback by Walking Cradles | CorporetteI haven’t heard of this brand “Walking Cradles” before, but they’re highly (highly!) rated on Zappos, and these strappy 2.5″ heels are one of their top rated styles. It looks like a comfortable and versatile shoe, and it’s $94 at Zappos. (I’m also a fan of this style and this style.) Happy weekend! Rose Petals Caliente Slingback by Walking Cradles
