A woman wearing a pair of rust-colored joggers with white sneakers

Something on your mind? Chat about it here.

I was in LA this week and an old friend of mine convinced me to jump on the Vuori bandwagon — she said these joggers felt like “butter for your a**.” Need I say more?

I’ve seen a lot of ads for Vuori, but I wasn’t sure I needed more athleisure in my life. But, since I’m still working from home, my “workwear” could use a spring refresh. These slim, yet relaxed-fit joggers are slightly cropped and made from a Vuori’s stretchy and soft DreamKnit fabric. They come in 17 colors so you can find the perfect one for you. And over 15,000 positive reviews can’t be wrong.

Vuori’s Performance Joggers are $84 and available in sizes XXS–XXL.

I wish these weren’t just slightly cropped – I either want full length pants (would prefer that here) or cropped just below the knee. As a tall-ish person, these just look awkward on me.

What is everyone up to this weekend? It’s going to be in the 80s here so I got out the kids’ summer clothes!

I’m 5’8 and own a pair in the tall size. They’re full length on me. I ended up also buying a jogger pair in the cropped style.

…any other tall people still remembering being asked ‘where’s the flood’ and thinking of that when they buy cropped/ankle pants.

Thank you, I was tempted but also would prefer full length

And yes, I heard so many “flood pants” comments. I still feel weird wearing pants intentionally cropped to this length!

They sell full length, too. That’s the style I have.

Does anyone want to father’s day shop for me?

My 36 year old husband and I got married last year. He very much fathers my pre-K son (has been around for three years), and we are now expecting a baby together. I honestly can’t remember what we did in earlier years, definitely cards, and he’s received some gag gifts (mostly from my friends and his siblings) like coffee cups that say “happy father’s day from the kid you inherited when you shacked up with my mom”, ha. I wouldn’t call either of us very sentimental, but it seems like a meaningful first married and first expecting parent father’s day. He got me nice flowers and a card thanking me for being a mother to 1.4 of his children (since I’m about 40% through pregnancy).

He’s a motion graphics artist, likes beer, loves his cat, likes camping/hiking (although we’ve only car camped in the last few years)… I work for government so am comfortable but not rolling in it, maybe 100 bucks would be a target?

I enjoy your and his sense of humor. :)

This is not a “real” gift, but my husband and kids have gotten a kick out of matching socks and themed tshirts/onesies (eg, a king chess piece on the dad shirt, a knight on the kid and a pawn on the onesie).

For the baby stage, DH really appreciated his audible subscription and a smart speaker so he could listen to books on tape while rocking or holding our “would not sleep unless held” baby. It is the first thing he recommends when people ask him what they need for a baby.

You also might consider a carrier that fits him (if the carrier you have doesn’t fit both of you). I also got a few books for DH that were dad themed (one monster one “Because I’m Your Dad” and a book with a list of dad jokes were right up his alley).

I agree about the man-sized baby carrier. My husband and I didn’t fit the same ones.

A manly diaper fold might also be a good option. My husband liked having one stashed in his car for when he was out with the baby.

Has anyone looked into trip insurance for their kid to attend a summer program or camp? Covid rates are rising again where I live and in the location of the summer program where my teen daughter plans to go. I’m interested in finding out whether there’s insurance to cover the cost of the program (the program itself does not offer it) and/or her travel. Additionally, I’m curious whether anyone has had experience with having to make emergency travel plans to pick up a kid who has become ill during a camp or a summer program.
