Is it too early to be thinking of going to the pool?

These fun slides remind me of my favorite pool sandals. These leather slides (so not actually pool friendly) come in a rainbow of colors and are ideal for weekend errands and outings.

As the weather warms up, add a pair of cropped jeans or cigarette pants with your favorite tee and you have an easy, vacation-ready outfit.

These slides from Tory Burch are $198 at Nordstrom and available in 11 colors. (I’m eyeing dark lotus, a moody grayish-blue.) They come in whole and half sizes 5–11.

Sort of related to the marriage thread from this morning, I read this novel that I thought some people here might like: The Smash-Up by Ali Benjamin. It’s a family drama set against the backdrop of #MeToo and the Kavanaugh hearings. The family’s story is about a middle-age couple suffering from marital ennui and career burnout while parenting a special needs (ADHD) preteen. It is funny and sad and definitely hit a little too close to home at times.

What are your favorite foods to help a tween kid gain weight? (My son doesn’t like milk or yogurt.)

For April Fools these aren’t *that* bad. I wouldn’t pay $200 for them for sure but there’s a lot worse out there.
