Outdoor string lights lit up on a deck

Something on your mind? Chat about it here.

I have a small balcony full of herbs and flowers (and one dead tomato plant). In the evenings (after the kids are asleep), it would be lovely to sit out there with a glass of wine admiring the rising moon and these charming string lights.

These solar powered string lights mean no cords or batteries — perfect for the outdoors. Each 48-foot string has 24 bulbs that glow classic white or change to a rainbow of colors with the push of a remote. Hang them anywhere you need some accent lighting.

These Westinghouse outdoor string lights are $61.15 at Lowe’s. Amazon has something similar for $25, too.

Reporting back from first day of kindy – my kid had the BEST day. Highlights were story time, recess and buying school lunch (they have pizza every Friday) which made her feel very grown up. Hope everyone else who has kids starting in the next few weeks also has a smooth experience!

Does anyone have a kid who really struggles with impulse control? We’ve tried all the ADHD meds out there and he still gets really angry over little things… so exhausted.
