I’m trying to help a friend put together a baby registry. She is getting a lot of hand-me-down stuff, but what can you think of that you would NOT want hand-me-down or that is new and wasn’t available just a few years ago? Off the top of my head, the only thing I can think of is a Rock and Play (wasn’t around when my kids were little), new carseat and fresh bottles.

Anything you didn’t register for but wish you would have or that someone gave you that you now suggest everyone register for?

Can anyone comment on how Old Navy baby sizing runs? For my kid, using Carter’s as a baseline, Baby Gap runs a little large.

Thank you!

32 weeks. Have had great pregnancy so far, and stayed very active. Weight gain on the low end of the healthy range. No previous pregnancies. S0, no risk factors for pubic symphysis dysfunction, BUT, in the last two days, feel like my pelvis is going to split apart. Walking is painful. I wear a maternity belt while exercising, but can’t wear it comfortably at work. What else? Chiropractor? Get a referral to PT? Massage? Acupuncture? Lay in bed permanently because I can’t turn over? (hm probably not that last one?)

Any tips for dealing with morning sickness? I don’t have my first appt. for another week so prescriptions aren’t an option yet.

So I just realized that today’s going to be the day I tell my management team I’m pregnant. I’m 15 weeks and was planning on waiting for another 2 weeks or so, but looking at the vacation schedule and such, I realized this morning that this would be my last chance to tell them all at the same time (highly, HIGHLY preferred as it would not be cool in my office to tell one before the other) until basically August.

I don’t know if I’m looking for advice or just reassurance that this won’t somehow jinx my pregnancy.

Any fun plans / ideas for 4th of July with little ones (who go to bed before the fireworks will start)? It’s baby’s first 4th of July (he’s 7 months) and I’d like to do something fun, but have no idea what that would be. Maybe just an afternoon at the pool.
