Amazon’s in-house workwear brand, Lark & Ro, has some really great pieces right now, including this highly rated wrap dress. It comes in a ton of prints, and if you’re the kind of woman who prefers wrap dresses for pumping, this may be for you. I’d wear it with a camisole or demi camisole beneath it, of course. It’s $70 new, and available in sizes XS-XL. Lark & Ro Women’s Cap Sleeve Classic Knit Wrap Dress (L-2)Sales of note for 12.10

We’re having a bbq this weekend and I want to set up a kids table of activities. Not too elaborate ideas? I’m thinking markers and paper, bubbles and wands, and kid friendly snacks.
I have this dress in the print shown. I got on super-discount during that big sale Amazon had last year. I like it, but I do think the quality is more suited to a $40 dress than a $70 dress. Still, it’s very flattering and comfortable.
Just a rant.
My husband has several siblings. They all get along well. We have Christmas together and have gone on vacation together too. All of them and all of the spouses including me went to college together, so we’ve known each other for 10+ years and have grown up together. We know each other’s parents as well. I like all of his siblings and their spouses, which is great. My own in laws are great. But it’s my SIL’s in laws that drive me crazy.
My husband’s sister’s FIL friended me on Facebook after he came to family Christmas last year. He’s very domineering and I hid him because he posts really inflammatory political stuff constantly. I vote the same way he does but still don’t want to see that. Today he tagged me and my SIL (who is a SAHM) in a post about this SAHM who made up some elaborate story at the DMV about her job title “child development researcher” because she didn’t want to be called a homemaker. I have no clue why he tagged me in this, but it just irritates me so much. Even if I were a SAHM, I am pretty sure it would irritate me. For one thing, a child development researcher is an actual thing. For another, I am decidedly not a SAHM.
I just needed to roar about this somewhere, rather than posting a snarky response. Ugh.
I missed the thread yesterday on travel recs, but wanted to offer this: based on suggestions here, we bought a travel car seat that fits well on planes (EvenFlo SureRide) and the GoGo babyz mini travelmate cart that attaches to the back of the carseat. Our child sat in the carseat, and I wheeled her through the airport. When I travel alone with her, I check a bag, and then bring on the plane a backpack full of snacks/distractions/wallet/phone/diaper/other essentials, plus the carseat and travelmate cart. It really isn’t bad. Even when she didn’t want to ride in the carseat, I could throw my backpack in there and wheel the cart with one hand and hold her hand with the other.
How does everyone store their kids’ photos/videos? My iPhone is full (again). We have a Shutterfly site where I upload the best stuff, but I’d prefer not to rely on a third party maintaining my photos. Kind of wishing for shoe boxes full of prints and negatives. At least you’d know you could control those, and that new technology wouldn’t make them unviewable.
