Had baby via disastrous c-section 5 weeks ago. Baby came out fine, I didn’t do so well. Doctor and I are satisfied I am fine. Baby is doing amazingly.
I’m scheduled to go back to work next week. Hubby will be with baby for the week. After then we have made arrangements for baby to go to daycare for almost three months. At that point a family member is expected to step in for 3 days of childcare and my work week will drop to 4 instead of 5 days a week as will husbands.
I’m getting a lot of side eye about going back to work so soon. I feel I have made appropriate arrangements for baby, husband is fine with arrangements and honestly baby sleeps from 9-5 waking to feed and is then pretty up the rest of the time. Since my husband left for work at 8 he’s been awake for feeding and that’s it.
Can someone reassure me that going back to work at 6 weeks and Childcare at 8 weeks is acceptable behaviour?
In case anyone is commenting today – I have a 1 year old (just turned one) who currently wears a size 2T. I’m thinking of buying snow gear for next year now that it’s all on crazy sale. Would you buy a 3T or 4T? I know they are supposed to slow down with the growing, but I don’t know how much to expect. Also, feel free to tell me this is a dumb idea and I should just wait until next fall.
I’m 5’3″ and wearing a size 16, plus I’m 4+ months along with my 2nd. So, feeling huge…
Anyway, I tried the C. Wonder sale that Kat posted about on the main site a week or 2 ago and got 2 XL sweaters. They finally came today and fit great for now, and probably for the rest of the winter. I hope to lose the weight, of course, but if not I can wear them next fall/winter and if so, maybe I can wear them with a belt. Is that something people really do? I don’t know. Anyway, I’m pretty satisfied. Thanks, Kat!
