Washable Wednesday: Valentine Tie Front Blouse

This really cute blouse is from Cooper & Ella, and I think it’s playful but sort of sophisticated — and I always like red and blue as a color combination because it feels fresh. This top just kind of looks perfect — and there’s a sleeveless style in the same print. (The one pictured also comes in a geometric pattern.) And bonus: It’s machine washable. The blouse is $120 at Nordstrom and has a couple of positive reviews so far. Valentine Tie Front Blouse

A couple of plus-size alternatives are from Eloquii: striped and solid (both machine washable).

ASOS has a lot of really cute maternity clothes right now, but it’s hard to find styles that have multiple sizes still in stock. This one is $45 (with free shipping and free returns) and comes in sizes 2–16, almost all of…

    Family Friday: Dinosaur Table Lamp

We have this dinosaur table lamp, and it’s a really nice find. We’ve had bad luck with lighting, particularly for the kids’ rooms — we had one lamp that we paid far too much for from Pottery Barn Kids (or PBTeen) that basically fell apart after about a year of regular use. (I don’t think…

  • Budget Thursday: Wool-Blended Jersey Volume Skirt

I just popped into Uniqlo the other day when I was in Chicago because it was freezing there and I had forgotten a hat. (Here’s the hat I bought.) I also had the opportunity to check out this skirt, which feels really nice and substantial and warm in person. If you prefer a fuller style to a…
