Along with a growing bump often come stretch marks.
Massage this lightweight, soothing oil daily to fade stretch marks, reduce hyperpigmentation, and even skin tone. Ingredients like kahai oil, vitamin C, and arnica extract nourish and moisturize skin while reducing discoloration.
Luna Daily’s Skin Support Oil is $46 at Sephora.

Sanity check because all of my colleagues are making me feel crazy and I need to know it’s not just me. I’m a litigator. Just returned from maternity leave. The day I returned, there were two issues immediately. First, a court-imposed deadline fell on my first day back, but no one did anything for it before I returned. I took care of it but no one seems to think it was their fault for letting this slip through the cracks (and the associate on the case is on vacation on the other side of the world, so I couldn’t just make him do it).
Second, another partner asked me to finalize and sign a consent judgment against our client that she had been working on (she was in deps and I guess didn’t want to multitask?). I said no, I’m not comfortable signing a proposed judgment against our client when I have no way to know if the document follows the negotiation history (which is mostly verbal). She and other people are grousing at me about not helping her when she was busy and I’m not.
I’m so tired of being the one always holding everything together. I’m proud of myself for saying no to #2, but it’s also hard to be on the receiving end of negativity right off the bat. Is this just what middle management (ie not-junior, not-senior partner) is like at all law firms? Having little to no support from anyone but being expected to provide support even for things you really shouldn’t?
This morning we had our first 2-hr school delay since situational telework was taken away. I had a nice time hanging out with the kids this morning, but then I had to drive downtown for a 5-hr day. If I’d had telework available, I could have worked while the kids slept in and avoided wasting so much time commuting (in the sleet :( )
I just found out my MIL bought my 4 year old a Switch for Christmas. Cool cool, cool cool.
Where can I buy reasonably-priced maternity work clothing? This is my last pregnancy, so I don’t want to spend a lot of money. But I’m in office 5-days a week and really only have 3 or 4 work outfits that still fit. Plus I have a federal trial in my third trimester, so I’ll need to buy a maternity suit.
Bonus points if you know of any stores that stock maternity clothing in store in the DC area. I’m going to ask my parents for some as a Christmas gift, and I know my mom would love to do an in-person shopping trip.
AFAIK, there are no evidence-based products that can reduce or even minimize stretch marks. $46 on a lotion that likely won’t do anything at all is pretty steep.
