Lands' End Adjustable Swim Tunic Rash GuardSomething on your mind? Chat about it here.

If only I hadn’t bought this in black last year… Rash guards are something I didn’t discover until I was a mom. I forget how, exactly — but at some point I discovered they were a lot easier to manage than coating my pale, pale boy with SPF from head to toe, and I bought one for myself so I could see how uncomfortable they were. Lo and behold, the one I had was super comfortable — not hot, or heavy, and ohmygoodness so much easier than trying to put sunscreen on my own back. SO: I am a devotee. I know that for proper sun protection it should be a mock neck, but come on, I usually slather sunscreen on my chest anyway — and this notch neck is muuuch more flattering. It’s $49 at Lands’ End in regular, petite, and plus sizes. Lands’ End Adjustable Swim Tunic Rash Guard

I love Lands End rash guards. They’re perfect for sun protection and for making sure there won’t be any “wardrobe malfunctions” while I’m chasing my sons around the beach.

Oh my gosh, y’all. We just put an offer on a new house last night and it was accepted! It’s been so crazy because the market is SO pro-seller right now, and houses only stay on the market for a week, max.

The new house is much better (and bigger) for our family, but the reality is sinking in. We’re moving and now we have to list our current house for sale. Summer just took on a more decidedly hectic lifestyle.

I am also a LE rashguard fan, although one year the rash guards were made out of some kind of material that got super-stretchy when wet, and sagged down way past my fingertips, and did the same for my son. I returned my son’s and was able to exchange it for one on clearance that was the previous year’s model.

I haven’t tried this year’s batch, but my mom has and likes them this year. I especially like wearing them for things like spending the day on a boat, where you might get wet and need all day sun protection.

Lands’ End is having a great sale right now on swim stuff — just bought my son swim trunks and a rashguard for great prices. The only annoying thing is that LE has $8 shipping, ugh. I think it’s free over $50, but I really don’t need to buy anything right now. I think I saw a NASA rashguard for girls, so that’s another plus. :)

I’m really glad to see a weekend thread on the moms s!te again. Do they show up every other weekend?

Just wanted to celebrate! I am a teacher and I got out of school yesterday. My daughter is ten-months old and that means the end of “having to” pump. I’m sure I’ll need to pump a little when I return after a summer of nursing on demand just to be comfortable and avoid infection, but I’m excited nonetheless! I’ve loved nursing. Pumping I could have really done without (but we’ve made it work, so yay!)!!

That’s awesome! My baby turned 10 months on Sunday and I’m thinking of cutting back my pumping sessions. I have a good freezer stash going so it feels like the pressure is off.
