Is it too early for Valentine’s Day? I couldn’t stop myself from writing about this cute heart salt-and-pepper shaker set.
This enameled stoneware set from Le Creuset will add some sweet fun to your kitchen. Go all in with the red set, or choose the more subdued white or “shallot” (a light gray). This would also make a great gift for your favorite newlyweds.
Le Creuset’s Heart Salt and Pepper Shaker Set is $40 at Nordstrom.

Took my kids to see a spooky play this weekend- not too scary, it was a kids Halloween play at our local playhouse. To the 4 grown people who were there in the row in front of us who complained about the noise levels in the place and my daughter jumping into my lap at one of the spookier parts and kicking their seat accidentally, get a life!! You were 4 75-year olds at a play for 7-12 year olds!!! End of Rant.
I just realized that my daughter will be expecting me to wear a Halloween costume too, and while I don’t have any objections to it, I just hadn’t planned anything. Any easy ideas that would work well with a butterfly or a dragon, or do I just get a cloak and a hat and go as a witch and call it a day?
I’ve solo parented while sick and been sick on family vacations before but solo parenting while sick and on a vacation is a new one for me. Any tips to make it through? I’m trying to take it easy and give kiddo more screens than normal, although we’re doing Disney on Monday and there’s no way to take it easy there.
