My oldest loves these gym shorts with a twist.
These pom-pom gym shorts are made with a soft, 100% cotton jersey. They’re also easy to wear, with an elastic waistband and functional drawstring for a custom fit. Add a bright tank or tee for summer camp-ready outfit.
These shorts from Tea Collection are $35 and come in three colors: “carousel pink,” “del sol” (yellow), and “light laguna” (green). They’re available in sizes 2-16.

Would you switch day cares over this? We started a new day care six months ago. It’s going fine. DH and I both work full time: I have a project deadline in four weeks so I’m pretty busy atm but usually the default parent. In the last three weeks, my twin 2 year olds have been sent home from school 10 (count ‘em) days for diarrhea. I have taken them to the pediatrician multiple times. Each time he says “it’s probably a virus: just wait it out.” On top of this, yesterday day care texted that they’re raising their rates. I know it’s not their fault, but I’m pretty miffed that now I have to pay even more for them to not watch my kids. Is this worth looking into other options for care or do I just need to let it go? I’m exploring the underlying reasons we’re having so much illness but that takes time and like I said work is really busy right now. A nanny is not an option: I spent six months looking for a nanny and I can’t find one who is reliable. Plus I wfh so I don’t want the three of them in my space all the time.
These are so cute!
Moms with girls in the age 8-10 range, where are you shopping these days? DD has definite opinions about clothes. She is really drawn to Old Navy, but it’s so hit or miss. Lots of ON clothes don’t fit her well, with gapping in weird places. The sizing of bottoms seems to be all over the place if we venture beyond activewear. (And if I’m really honest, ON shorts are REALLY SHORT on her long legs, more so than I’m comfortable with.) DD is not into Target these days. She’s not into name-brand athletic gear or graphic tees. Where is everyone shopping for semi-trendy stuff for girls?
Can anyone recommend a playground near Englewood, NJ? Doesn’t need to be anything special.
