Play-Doh Pizza Delivery Scooter Playset

My kids had some cousin time the other week, and this was the toy everyone loved.

Play-Doh’s pizza delivery scooter is exactly that — the ride-on scooter includes an integrated kitchen where kids can make Play-Doh pizza. There’s a pizza box that slides right into the scooter for a speedy delivery, and customers can pay with pretend cash or card.

In addition to kitchen accessories for making pizza and ice cream, 10 tubs of Play-Doh are also included.

Play-Doh’s Pizza Delivery Scooter Playset is $68.99 at Target.

Favorite Chicago area afternoon teas for a mom and elementary age girl? Is the Langham Alice in Wonderland tea worth it? It’s pricey but looks so cute.

It seems that most people on this board have their kid(s) in more formal daycare centers. I’ve always been wary of daycare centers, finding them expensive and very germy. What’s your ideal childcare preferences, what you’ve actually been able to do, and what do you like about your options?

This toy! My kids’ 6yo cousin got it for Christmas. It is beloved by all. (My older kid started thinking about the engineering required to make a real world version. Can you make a scooter that is also a pizza oven? How do you harness the waste heat for something useful? Can you run the scooter on biodiesel from frying toppings?) But fair warning, it’s also large enough to significantly clutter a small living room.

What’s been your experience between the correlation between school ratings and lived experience?

Okay, my thread yesterday was so helpful (thank you!) how about TV shows your:

9 year old boys are liking (he’s into percy jackson, harry potter, that sort of thing, loves funny shows like nailed it and movies like home alone)?

5 year old girls?

I hate to admit it but it’s a long car ride, 3.5 year old girls???

Curious what new and good things or ones worth rediscovering might be out there!

My baby is starting daycare in two weeks at a well-regarded local chain (4 locations). We just got an email that the chain is opening a new infant location closer to us and in a better spot farther away from highway traffic/closer to nature. We’re interested, but one thing that gives me pause is whether there are any downsides to going to a brand-new chain (all new staff?), even for a place with a good overall reputation. Would you consider it?

I also hate that this is a consideration, but I do fear that the new location might have an increased risk of terrorist attacks because it’s on the grounds of a Jewish center. Antisemitism is alive and well in my area and I’ve seen attacks close to home before, including at my college best friend’s home synagogue.

Happy Friday! Would love to hear about everyone’s weekly traditions as I’m thinking about bringing some more grounding and joy to our lives each week.

We’ve been doing Pizza Fridays for a long time, but recently we’ve started making it at home with Trader Joe’s pizza dough and everyone gets a personal pizza with whatever toppings they want. It’s a really nice and chill way to end our week without a ton of effort.

Any other little snips of joy I can add to our week? Thanks for any ideas!
