Family Friday: Organic Cotton Bodysuits

5 cotton baby bodysuits, each with a food design. Each has a pun: COUCH POTATO, OLIVE YOU, PLEASE ROMAINE CALM, VEGGIN OUT, I AM A FUN GUY

A pack of bodysuits is a baby’s version of a wardrobe workhorse.

These organic cotton bodysuits feature cute prints and designs and can be worn as a layer or even alone (because pants are just one more thing to deal with). I especially like the food-themed ones. Who can resist a little one who is “Soy Awesome”?

A pack of five bodysuits starts at $17.99 and comes in sizes preemie to 18-24M. Over a dozen sets are available.

Can we brainstorm tips for feeling better after getting piled-on in an online chat? In real life, I am a big “fixer” and usually when I’m anxious I can take steps to adress the problem. But there usually is no resolution or better understanding to be gained from re-engaging online.
As ironic as it seems to ask here, I know other posters have struggled with it too.

I have very long straight fine hair (but LOTS of hair), and my hair needs to be long enough to do a ponytail and ideally below clavicle. I think my hair looks so outdated and boring – my current cut is minimal layers with a few long face framing pieces. I have a haircut scheduled next week. Can anyone recommend a haircut that might feel fresher/2026-era instead of blah?

For those who are looking for new kid’s books recommendations, I just wanted to link to yesterday’s Cup of Jo post about 20 picture books recommended by Sophie Blackall (a wonderful picture book author herself):

https://cupofjo.com/2026/04/20/sophie-blackall-shares-20-favorite-picture-books/

We have read a bunch she recommended and they’re great. I’ve also found a lot of really good recommendations for a variety of ages from “Books Make Great Friends” by Jane Mount – this one covers everything from board books to chapter books, although you do have to decipher some of the titles a bit. I wish she’d post the list on her website!

Our school district gave out Dunkin gift cards and free Refreshers to the middle and high schoolers as a reward for “meeting bus expectations”

Call me old fashioned but I’m annoyed that the district is rewarding what should be a baseline expectation, and doing so by providing corporate-branded sugary caffeinated drinks at the start of the school day.

Am I out of touch?
