What happened to the weekend thread for the Moms site? I thought it was a nice addition.
Ladies I would just like to share! Been working on a book compiling all the little life and career tidbits gathered over the years into one place including lots on professional mom stuff- pregnancy while working, childcare, etc. Finally finished it! On the Way is live on Amazon (linked from name above, starting with Kindle, other formats to come). The Corporette community has been a huge part of the thinking and dialogue- I thank Kat in the intro for creating this awesome online community. Please check it out! I’m just at the start of the launch process… any feedback is super welcome. I can send out some free reviewer copies if you email me at robinlakebooks(at)gmail.com.
I have mostly been on the ‘main’ blog, should come here more often… since my sweet little girl is came along time for online stuff went way down… between being single parent and corporate job have been pretty under water. And plugging away on the book☺ Cheers to all and Happy Mother’s Day.
I think buying a wedding guest for your assistant would be pretty tasteless, not to mention illegal.
The Scary Mommy article didn’t resonate with me at all. I very much appreciate respectful disagreement, opinions, and advice from other mothers, but those things are very different from the judgmental or absolutest statements that often characterize “mommy war” debates. I don’t engage in the “mommy wars” but I have reduced or elimiated interaction with people who I think have unreasonable and judgemental views, rather than trying to engage in meaningful discussion with them.
