Re. the movie list, I don’t think Bend It Like Beckham holds up in the era of Me Too and the USAG scandal. The main character’s teenaged friend has a romantic relationship with her adult football coach. I found myself having to interject a lot of commentary when we watched the movie with our daughter. It’s sad, because the movie is otherwise fantastic.
