I went to a wedding at 8 months pregnant last summer. I work a black and white silk sheath that I had been wearing for work. I went heavy on the jewelry and bought new shoes. I did wear 3-4 inch heels, but I was sitting most of the ceremony and left the reception early to take my 3 year old to bed. Try ebay, you might find something nice and inexpensive there.

Anyone have recs for formal maternity dresses for a black tie event for work? I googled and found a few sites that have Rent the Runway-type models, but most of the dresses seemed sort of frumpy or not really dressy enough (although I guess super pregnant people get a bit of a pass). I feel silly buying an expensive dress to only use once, but I am going to be 8 months pregnant at this event so I don’t know if anything non-maternity is going to work. Also going to have to figure out what shoes to wear. The only ones I have worn to these kind of events have been ricketty stilettos that I’m not sure I’ll want to deal with.
