I’ll pretty much buy anything from Tatcha, including their luxe lip mask.
This limited edition apricot shade (for the holidays!) provides a sheer pop of color. It also plumps, smooths, and hydrates to soften the dry, flaky lips that come with fall. Ingredients include Japanese peach extract, three rose extract, and Japanese camellia oil.
The Kissu Lip Mask in Kiku is $29 at Sephora. It also comes in the original shade (looks like a sheer peachy pink).

Note for @Kat: On the new commenting layout, is there a way to show the replies to a reply indented further (the way it was in the old format?)? The way it is currently, the first reply is indented but then any replies to a subcomment are not clearly tied to that sub comment except in faint grey text that’s easy to miss. Would love if that could be adjusted visually with indentation.
So if A comments, B and C both reply to A, and then D replies to C, right now it looks like D is replying to A’s comment, not C’s comment
Is it possible to sort comments within a thread so that the oldest is at the top of the thread? Right now under the smartwatch question, for example, the newest comment is at the top and it’s weird to read through a conversation like that.
We got a Whirley Pop and have already gotten a lot of use out of it this season. It makes perfect popcorn quickly, better than other methods. DS (4) loves to crank the handle. Just putting that out there for anyone looking for some new ideas for activities/snacks!
I’m finding myself increasingly annoyed, frustrated with normal(ish) kid behavior. For example, middle kid is in a transition – new school, new daycare – and it is causing weeping meltdowns frequently in the morning/evening. Older kid is stubborn and always has been and this can be frustrating when we need to get somewhere. Baby is a baby and so remains as rationale as one would expect. But I can feel my go to response becoming snappy irritation vs patience, as I would like it be. Any suggestions? I’m just feeling annoyed with myself and wishing I could be better.
On the weekend thread, someone posted that they got their 6 year old some kind of smartwatch and that it is a game changer. I have two 6 year olds and have no idea what on earth they’d need one for. Have others with kids in lower elementary given them smartwatches or phones?
Where do you shop for kids clothes? Both day to day and more fun clothes. As my toddler gets older there are less hand me downs available so I’m looking for options.
I missed the weekend thread, but wanted to recommend The Children of Noisy Village (and the sequel) for a 5yo. They are so enjoyable to read, with pictures mixed in and short chapters. The Heartwood Hotel is another series we’ve enjoyed, and The Wild Robot. TBH I also don’t mind Zoey and Sassafras.
I am with you, OP on wanting books that we both enjoy. I read one Magic Treehouse and told my kids they can read the rest on their own one day if they so choose, but I was out. (I also find Mercy Watson to be insufferable, but I have one kid who loves nonsense so I read a few of them).
I’d rather read more advanced picture books — they have better storytelling, plotting, vocabulary and often beautiful illustrations — and so we do stay in picture book land for a long time.
