Here’s a modern take on a sweatsuit I remember from my earlier years. Since my kids don’t remember this style from the first go-round, it will be a completely fresh look to them.

This cute and comfortable velour set includes a waist-length, crewneck sweatshirt and relaxed-cut pants. As a set, it’s nice enough for school, but relaxed enough for lounging around after.

Old Navy’s velour set is $19.99 (originally $39.99) and comes in “pink premier” and the pictured “magnetic fig” in girls’ regular and plus sizes.

We were out of town visiting DH’s family Christmas week, and this week, kids were in their respective full-day daycare or camp (DH and I were back to work, with legit work to do, but definitely not at usual pace and we’ve had some flexibility to get kids earlier, etc.).

I think it’s been key to me enjoying the break, but of course there’s a smidge of me that feels guilty for not just letting the kids stay home and doing *all the things* with them even though my friends who have done so are ragged at this point, and my kids seem happy where they are at.

A snowstorm is supposed to hit our city Sunday and Monday morning and it’s looking like our first day back from break will be a snow day. My text threads with local mom friends are all some version of “noooooo they need to go back”

We are doing a bunch of room rearranging, which requires an Ikea order, hooray! (we don’t have one nearby so it’s a big deal). Any Ikea stuff you especially recommend (or don’t recommend)? When I lived in Philly I was in biking distance from one but it’s been awhile!

When do your kids go to bed, and how old are they?

I understand that the shorter top look is “in,” but my two girls have long torsos and so this would be showing their belly. Wish they would make the tops an inch or two longer

Our cleaner came this morning and congratulated me on my pregnancy. I’m not pregnant and my youngest child is in elementary school. 🫠 I guess I’ll be making the cliched new years resolution to go to the gym.
