A tube of Fresh Hesperides Grapefruit Moisturizing Hand Cream

We’re deep into winter and I need a hand cream that will soothe my dry, cracked skin.

I love Fresh, and this rich and refreshing hand cream is what I need right now. This luxurious cream absorbs quickly, rushing moisture and relief to your parched hands. The grapefruit citrus scent will also perk me up on a cold dark morning.

Fresh’s Hesperides Grapefruit Moisturizing Hand Cream is $15.

Has anyone tried nail wraps? I’ve always been a plain nail person as manicures never lasted more than a couple of days for me. Over the holidays I was playing and tried some nail wraps from Lily and Fox and was shocked that they looked great for a solid two weeks and only took me a few minutes to do myself at home.

I use a base coat (Orly bonder) and put on the wrap while the base coat is wet so I can slide the wrap into the perfect position. I let it dry while I finish the hand, then file off the excess wrap. Then I add a quick dry top coat (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel) and, amazingly, it looks professional and lasts so so well. If it starts to look dull, I may add another layer of top coat a week or so in.

Have others been trying out amazing new nail technology?

Paging the OP who asked about Immersion programs. We’re in a FT Mandarin immersion program currently in K.
At least in our district acceptance was a lottery so we went for it- fully expecting not to get in. We did! And while it has been a bit of a struggle (we have no Mandarin experience) I am very glad we’re doing it. Check out A Parent’s Guide to Mandarin Immersion by Elizabeth Weise (I’m sure there’s something similar for Spanish) to learn more from people who’ve lived it.
Drop a burner email if you have other questions.
Also, cool to know there are at least a handful of immersion parents here.

hi Mom’s! Where is the best place to stay for a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA? Would prefer not to have to rent a car. Any recommendations for a nice hotel close to the parks? Any other tips would be great….going with Jr. High school kids.

If you’re looking for a dupe for the Aritzia Effortless pant, the Calvin Klein Pleated Wide Leg Trouser Pants are pretty solid. Also they say dry clean only but I have always washed my CK work trousers and never had issues (cold wash and line dry – they’re synthetic). I’m a little over 5’6 and wearing with 2.5″ heels they don’t need to be hemmed at all – I feel like my legs are a million miles long! Just gotta throw on a turtleneck and I will be full Shiv Roy.

Would it be a bad idea to get laser hair removal before TTC? I’ve gotten hairier over time and I think there’s a hormonal component – I’d be loathe to drop money on this and then have all the hair come back post-pregnancy. Any advice?

Do you side-eye parents for theming parties around junky TV shows? My soon to be 5 year old wants a PJ Masks party. I’m going to to do it but am low key worried that people are going to judge me for having the party be related to a TV show and a kind of low brow one at that. It’s probably related to a deeper anxiety that my kid seems to watch way more TV than the other kids at her bougie daycare, although I think she doesn’t objectively watch that much (well within AAP guidelines).

I need help figuring hit how to fit night stands in my master bedroom. Our bed is positioned on the only wall where the vents aren’t blowing in our faces all night. But that wall is too narrow for two night stands. I don’t really want floating shelves but I will do that if I have to. Should I look into a bookshelf head board? Any other ideas?

Anyone have experience with their son needing surgery to correct penile torsion?

The PJ Masks party q reminded me I would like to know if you would side eye someone who gave a toy listed as for kids 3+ for a 6-year old party. The toy in question is a scribble scrubbie set if it matters. My 5.5-yo selected it for her friend herself because the friends like to draw/color and because my kid likes scribble scrubbies when no one is available to play with you and you play by yourself (her words, I know, I know).

Update: I posted last week about getting Covid and not being sure if I’d be able to go on a big work trip. Turns out I started testing negative on Saturday, just five days after my (very mild) symptoms started. I’ve gotten negative tests Sunday/Monday/today as well so I’m good to go on my trip tomorrow! Yay! Thanks for all the good vibes.

Does anybody have any good podcast recommendations for new working mums to be? I am currently pregnant with my first and have a high stress job, so am trying to prepare as best as I can. Any tips are appreciated!
