It’s sweater weather, my favorite time of year! But where to put them?
If you have more closet space than drawer space like me, this hanging closet organizer could be the solution. This organizer has three sturdy shelves for sweaters, handbags, jeans, and more! What I especially like is the lower metal rod so you don’t lose any hanging space.
This three-shelf hanging closet organizer is on sale at Target for $20.99. It also comes in a four-shelf option.

Suggestions for how to encourage baby to bond with my husband when he’s often gone for work? I’ve got a more traditional office 9-5, whereas he is a pilot and is often gone for long stretches of time, or he’s at home but “on-call” where he may need to be at the airport ready to fly in a hour. As such, I’m the one doing most of the daily grind regular baby care tasks, and it’s to the point where any time my husband tries to step in my baby gets really upset. I don’t generally mind doing more baby care, but I sure would like to be able to go out for an evening and not come back at 10pm with a baby that’s been crying for hours and a husband that is convinced that his child hates him.
Still on the Halloween theme…At what age did you start taking your kids trick or treating? My DS is 2.5, we’ll take him to a “trick or treat” event the weekend before at a park with games, crafts, etc. and a neighbor usually hosts a block party on the 31st before all the kids disperse for trick or treating. I’m thinking that’s sufficient and we’ll just head home after the party, since he seems a bit young to really understand trick or treating. But wondering what others do, and what age it really starts?
i know we are still a few weeks out, but what are people’s kiddos planning on dress up as for Halloween? i have 6 year old twin girls, at first twin A was going to be Elsa and Twin B a ‘flower fairy’ bc we recently got some hand me down costumes that included stuff for both of those, but Twin B has really wanted to be a cat, though I’d said I wouldn’t buy any new costumes this year bc they could wear the princess dresses they got at Disney world, but they wore me down by very sweetly insisting that Elsa needs to have a pet kitty with her on Halloween, so I spent the $10 on a costume. They’ve already made a name tag that says “Elsa’s Pet Kitty”
Anyone have a good hack for carrying a Strider bike on a BOB jogging stroller?
I’ve been having a lot of fun taking my toddler and six-month old on a post-work “jog”. The toddler has been having a blast tagging along with the strider, but usually wants to take a break about halfway through. He perches on the front of the stroller (just over the front wheel), but I end up balancing the bike on the baby’s car seat, which is not my favorite. It’s usually only about five minutes before he wants back on the bike, but it feels ungainly. Hoping somebody has a brilliant idea that I have not thought of!
Any packaged snacks you/your kids have been enjoying lately?
For us: Hersheys kisses (so shiny, so bite-sized!), the kids are loving a new Trader Joes knockoff Kind bar that has m&ms in it, and little bags of popcorn are a perennial favorite (though I refuse to buy the SkinnyPop brand because uggghhh that name).
Oh, and not a packaged snack exactly but I rediscovered the joy of hard-boiled eggs.
