A purple 3D Platypus Puzzle

A Eugy puzzle like this one caught my youngest’s eye at a gift store in Australia.

Eugy’s cardboard puzzles come in a variety of animals including Aussie favorites like this platypus. The one my almost six-year old chose was simple enough for him to assemble mostly on his own (with a little help). The directions are straightforward and the packaging compact (important when your luggage space is tight!).

This Eugy puzzle is $11.38; they’re available at Amazon as well as at the brand’s website.

How often do you buy your kid a new water bottle? I feel like the tops get so gross even with following washing protocols and so many of the companies don’t let you buy the tops separately

My just turned 2 year old has started taking off her sleep sack overnight. I know the recommendation is no blankets in a crib, but then what do I do if I can’t use a sleep sack? I want to keep her in a crib for at least another year. I’m

Please help me figure out a pumping schedule! I was doing fine with the regular workday, but now I have to be away from BB for 12 hours at a time two days a week, and from 7:30 am on Sunday until 5:00 pm Monday.

Oh God, I just noticed the first age spots on my hands. I don’t want to post this on the main site because I don’t want to get a lecture about, I don’t know, whatever they’d lecture me about, but if Shots Shots Shots visits this one…hi.

We are moving my baby to a convertible car seat and we are really missing the sunshade. Are there any aftermarket sunshades that are actually safe to use in the vehicle? The seat is a Nuna Rava.

I completely forgot about our dependent care account for months. Yesterday I remembered and submitted a bunch of expenses and now we have an extra ~$2k coming our way. Well not really extra, money that was deducted from our paychecks is being returned to us, but it feels like free money! Which is a very helpful with big bills from an expensive summer and a husband who is still waiting on reimbursements from trips that were completed (and receipts submitted) months ago (grrr academia).

Sharing this in case anyone else is in the same boat. I never had any issues remembering during daycare, but for some reason in elementary school I always forget that this account exists.

My youngest (and last baby!) is turning 1 in a few days. My heart is so sad (yet so proud to watch him continue to grow!). Anyone else have a lot of emotions about their baby turning 1? I thought I would be okay this time around because I’ve been through this phase with my daughter– but man, it’s not any easier this time around. Maybe it’s also because we are done having children and getting out of the baby phase seems so final to me this time. So many feelings!!!!! Thank you for reading my ramblings, haha.

We had Parent Information Last Night for elementary school. This year for the 2nd graders they don’t want them bringing cupcakes or anything sweet for birthday celebrations, but instead to bring a fruit or vegetable to share…you should’ve seen my children’s reaction…and honestly i kind of agree with them. I can understand the no cupcakes bc icing can be messy, and i know there is a childhood obesity epidemic, but no one wants a veggie tray to celebrate a birthday

In our current season of life, what does romance mean to you? What do you find romantic?

I was listening to a podcast and as an aside the guest asked these questions. It got me thinking.
