Splurge or Save Thursday: Demi Fine Freshwater Pearl Necklace

I work mostly at home, but when I go to the office or a conference, I often wear a pearl necklace just like this one.
This versatile, simple necklace features a single freshwater pearl on a delicate chain. This understated necklace’s shorter 15” length with a 3” extender means it’s perfect for layering with pieces you already own.
Nordstrom’s pearl pendant necklace is $55 and comes in gold or silver.

is there a resale market for strollers where you live? I’ve been trying to sell my double jogging stroller (it’s a Thule) for an extremely discounted price, and I’ve heard crickets. i guess i need to just give it away…
Gross question but when did your kids stop pooping overnight? My 17-month-old has a dirty diaper almost every morning. It doesn’t wake him- he sleeps great- but I recall reading that babies typically stop going number two at night much earlier.
Let’s do a happier post. There were a lot of good book recs yesterday. I have a 9 year old son (similar age) but slightly different reading preferences maybe? He liked Harry Potter, loooved Wings of Fire (the full novel version), read a bunch of Percy Jackson/Rick Riordan and is enjoying Nathan Hale a lot though he previously shunned graphic novels.
Any good book suggestions for him? TIA! I think we’re going to hit the library this weekend and I’d like to be prepared!
Curious about other schools: What times do your middle and high schools start? Our middle school starts at 7:25, with the result that some kids get on the bus as early as 6:30/6:40. High schools starts at 7:40 because there is one bus per route for the middle and high schools.
Thanks, all. This is my kid that I post about (less so, now, I hope :)). He’s doing SO great and has grown leaps and bounds on the language front. He’s funny, caring, and quirky in the best way. His interests aren’t always the same as his “boy” peers (he loves puzzles, maps, doodling on a dry erase board, and anything music/math/literacy related) he may get left out at different points, like when other boys are playing cars/trucks or roughhousing. (Note: I’m totally fine with him being him/having friends of any gender, but just using this as an example.)
When we go to playground on weekends, he usually plays super well with his sibling and sometimes even finds a friend when big bro wants to do his own thing. I also know that he raises his hand, participates in class, etc. That combined with the fact that teacher hasn’t raised any issues should be enough for me, but anxiety can be a monster sometimes, to the point I can’t even remember what my older kid was doing friend-wise at 4/what’s reasonable.
In the photo feed daycare sent yesterday, all the boys in my kid’s class were holding hands on the playground except him. I know he’s young/socially still learning (he’s 4), and we just got his winter evaluation which didn’t flag any social stuff with peers, but it just made me kind of sad, just for a moment. He has loads of time, but I do hope he finds some good buddies in the next few years.
for those of you with older kids (middle/high school) who don’t play a sport or dance, how do they get physical activity? i’m assuming recess is gone by then, they don’t spend time running around on playgrounds.
There was a post a while ago about private school and how one poster had her kid in a place that sounded idyllic. The detail I remember is no homework until 6th grade. How common is this model? The private schools in our area have banners advertising at the local community center and they say things like “accelerated curriculum” and “early STEM” and I’m looking for more like “tons of play” and “hands-on projects.” We’re in the Bay Area if anyone knows of any schools that fit that bill – a place where my son could have fun at school and love to learn.
