I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not particularly fond of the way joggers look. Still, they can be a lifesaver if you’ve got a kid who, for example, has a waist size that’s big for his height, or likes to tuck his pants into his socks — there are a variety of functional … Read More about Family Friday: Boys’ 2-Pack Joggers
Organizing Thursday: Clearly Fresh Bags
My son loves berries, but I hate how they go bad and get moldy so quickly. A few years ago, I found out about Clearly Fresh bags, and they’ve made a big difference in how much food we throw out. I’ll try to avoid sounding like an infomercial here, but these bags make fruit last much longer … Read More about Organizing Thursday: Clearly Fresh Bags
Washable Workwear Wednesday: Ponte Bell Sleeve Top
I was just about to link to this highly rated (and machine washable) bell-sleeve blouse at Nordstrom when I looked at some of the images and thought, hmmn, that bell sleeve is WAY too dramatic for work. By contrast, this Lands’ End top is just right — it’s got a ruffle detail in a nod to the trend, it’s machine washable, it’s flattering in that classic way — and it’s less than $50. Nice. Two plus-size options are at Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor.

Nursing Tuesday: Toffee Nursing Camisole
This nursing camisole from Cake is getting rave reviews at Nordstrom. Yes, $55 may seem like a lot for an undergarment, but as every pumping and nursing mom knows, a nursing camisole is likely the primary thing you’ll wear on a daily basis to raise your neckline and give you enough coverage while you’re pumping … Read More about Nursing Tuesday: Toffee Nursing Camisole
Makeup Monday: EcoBrow Eyebrow Defining Wax
I picked up this eyebrow defining wax in one of those two-second decisions at the end of a threading appointment at Shobha Salon in Soho (along with the little defining brush, which I really like). I kind of worried I spent too much and that I wasn’t going to use it (and I didn’t try it … Read More about Makeup Monday: EcoBrow Eyebrow Defining Wax
Weekend Open Thread
Something on your mind? Chat about it here. I don’t know about you, but since becoming a mom, MY part of my purse has shrunken to “wallet, iPhone, and lip gloss” — much lighter than I used to be. For the gym it’s even lighter — ID, iPhone, and maybe headphones — so it’s great … Read More about Weekend Open Thread
Family Friday: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition
My older son has been loving the hardcover illustrated versions of the Harry Potter books, and it’s kind of funny to have to wait for the illustrated books to come out because I’m old enough to remember waiting in the summers for the new books to come out as J.K. Rowling wrote them. There’s also a … Read More about Family Friday: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition
Budget Thursday: Ruffle-Trim Shetland Herringbone Jacket
This gorgeous jacket at Talbots is on a crazy sale: It was $169 and is now marked to $60. There are a ton of sizes left in misses, petites, woman, and woman petites, but the catch is that the only solid color available in most sizes is this sort of yellowy orange mustard. (There’s also … Read More about Budget Thursday: Ruffle-Trim Shetland Herringbone Jacket
Washable Workwear Wednesday: Ribbed Open-Front Cardigan
This cardigan/jardigan is noteworthy in a few respects. First: it’s machine washable, which is always great. Second, it’s$19 on “last act” sale at Macy’s — available in 8 colors, sizes XS-XXL. Third, call me crazy, but this looks like a pretty good $20 dupe for some of the other jardigans out there right now that … Read More about Washable Workwear Wednesday: Ribbed Open-Front Cardigan
Accessory Tuesday: Stella Flat
These Naturalizer flats look so fun — I love them. They only have a couple of reviews so far, but they’re very positive. I think the pictured lilac color is really cute, but note that they also come in a lighter pink and in black. This looks like a great, sophisticated, sleek flat and it’s only $99 at Nordstrom, and Naturalizer. It comes in sizes 4–11. Stella Flat

Maternity Monday: Brookfield Dress
Happy Monday! Did you guys know that Of Mercer has a maternity collection that’s all office-appropriate? A lot of the pregnant models are featured on the site wearing (and looking good in) dresses in straight sizes, but this one is only in maternity sizes. It comes in black and navy, and I like that there’s a … Read More about Maternity Monday: Brookfield Dress
Weekend Open Thread
Something on your mind? Chat about it here. When we did our review of the most-loved denim at Nordstrom last year on Corporette, I was interested to see that Wit & Wisdom’s Itty Bitty Bootcut was really popular — and it looks like they’ve done it again with these ankle skimmer jeans. (The length is just a little bit … Read More about Weekend Open Thread
