A brown leather tote

I have a fine collection of perfectly functional basic work totes. But as I was scrolling through end-of-summer sales, I was tempted to add the Alix Leather Tote to my cart.

Made from pebble leather, this oversized bag has a unique angular opening that’s fastened with leather ties. The 15” drop handle means you can easily carry it over your shoulder or in your hand. It also has a detachable zippered pouch — a thoughtful feature I wish more totes included.

rag & bone’s Alix tote is on sale for $335 (down from $478) and comes in black or cognac.

are 7/8/9 year old boys also into slime or is it more of a girls thing?

Ummmm. I love this bag. I’m a tote snob – none are ever good enough for me. Aesthetically, anyway, this one fits my criteria. Anyone know about quality? Looks like it’s on sale..

What’s a good gift for a three year old who loves vehicles? I’ve gotten those mix and match magnetic vehicles before, and this kid has tow trucks and semi trucks and garages and such.

My 7 year old just got really scared of dinosaurs. But also… very interested in them? He has asked for puzzles, games, and stuffies of dinos, but then wanted to hide them in the closet at night because they are scary. Just a phase we work through? DH thinks we should watch Jurassic Park (I think it’s too scary!)

Fun question for today, what’s something you said you’d do before you had kids that you ended up actually sticking with?

I just found out that my 8yo is his summer outdoor day camp’s “honor camper” for the summer for exemplifying camp values. He doesn’t know yet. I am so happy for him. It will be a shot of confidence he really needs — he’s been struggling at home a bit. It’s tough to be the messy, big-feelings middle kid between a socially adept older sister and adorable preschool sister.

how do your kids listen to audiobooks? Like 7 or 8 year olds. mine has a kindle and an alexa in her room. don’t want to do like a yoto or tonie here I don’t think given age (unless maybe yoto is the key but we lose little cards and i don’tw ant to buy lots of expensive cards!)

The banner across the bottom of my screen cut off the photo of this item, making it look like a leather bustier! I was like, Okay CorporetteMoms!

Help with this sleep issue. My 7 year old is waking up in the middle of the night 1-2x/week. Like 3-4am. And cannot go back to sleep. I’ll lay with him until 5:30-6am and then let him get up. He tries to go back to sleep but never does. So basically once or twice a week I’m also waking up at 4am. Not fun! Then he wants to nap at 9am (I’m home for the summer – but I don’t/can’t nap). He gets plenty of exercise and outdoor time so by bedtime at 8pm he’s ready to pass out. He doesn’t have pinworms and there’s no noise waking him up and we have blackout curtains. Is this just an annoying phase? We don’t do melatonin with our kids, they’re generally amazing sleepers. Any ideas??
