A black cylindrical coffee canister

Taste the difference when you store your freshly roasted coffee beans in this vacuum canister.

Keep your coffee fresher longer when you limit air, moisture, and odors. One button removes air, while a simple twist breaks the seal. You can also use this canister to store other dry goods like nuts or loose leaf tea.

Note this canister is designed to store whole beans — ground beans may clog the valve.

Fellow’s Atmos Electric Vacuum Coffee Canister is under $80 at Amazon.

Do you find the Christmas card update annoying or do you like it? Assume it’s a paragraph, not an included letter.

Does anyone have any coupon codes to share or sales to point to for Boggs boots? I want to get the Baby Boggs for my son and would ideally do it on discount. Don’t have time to scour Goodwill and there’s nothing on FB rn.

Has anyone gone from a fairly high-powered career to SAHM? What was it like? Did you miss the prestige or work identity, or not so much?

For the first time ever, I am thinking about perhaps becoming a SAHM when my kids are in elementary school. That’s still 3 years away so nothing imminent, but I’m a long-term planner.

I know the working mom vs SAHM debate can be very fraught and there’s a lot to consider. I’m especially interested in people’s experiences mentally going from “I am a lawyer” (or something) to “I am a full time mom” and how that did or didn’t affect you.

the other day on the main board there was a discussion about a family in which the parents do a lot of dividing/conquering around dinner/bedtime. and some negative commentary to go with it. I feel like we have this issue in our house. DH travels A LOT for work and so then when he is home, I often feel like I just want to peace out and not listen to the kids whine/complain about dinner, drop something on the ground, etc. etc. and that as a result we maybe don’t spend enough time all together as a family. any suggestions?

Generally speaking, what are your thoughts on parents who have a hobby/passion (that takes a lot of time) who bring their kids along regularly? I’m thinking of things like a marathon in another city where the kids come and spectate. This was a divided discussion among family members of mine recently (whether it was “fair to the kids”). I personally think that taking kids along is great and that all the times I’ve seen it done, they’re clearly having a great time exploring in new places or sometimes entering a kids race, but I can also see the argument that it may be a bit much at times (such as spectating a race when it’s quite hot, etc.).

Can anyone point me to some trusted resources for parents that are starting to decline mentally and make really bad financial decisions? We’re a while away from a legal diagnosis of mental incompetence but I don’t think I can sit back and watch from the sidelines anymore. This is for both parents who are making bad decisions in different ways.
