When you fly with your kids, what’s the suitcase setup? I’ve been packing DD’s clothes with mine but as her clothes get bigger, this gets harder. We’ve also had her use my carry on bag and me take the big roller.
We have a trip in Dec and I’m wondering if I should get her a suitcase of her own. Kids suitcases appear to be mainly carryon size, which would work for her clothes. I just prefer not to buy unnecessary things or have more to carry through an airport.

Starting us off: I met a kid on the playground who introduced himself with a trendy nature name. When I told him my name is Katherine, he responded with, “That’s a really funny name!”
my 10 YO has a friend I don’t like (not just annoying, I actively think friend is mean and a bad influence). I can’t tell kid he’s not allowed to hang out with friend, so other strategies? fill up his schedule with other stuff? (kid does not take initiative to plan playdates kind of just goes along with what other kids want to do, so I could probably take some initiative on his behalf to plan time with other friends).
If you have kids old enough to be outside without you, do you require them to be home by dark or take special precautions if they’re out after dark? My 8 year old has been doing more outdoor play with friends lately. Over the summer this wasn’t an issue as her bedtime was long before nightfall but now the sun is setting before 8 pm.
How many times a week do your kids eat chicken nuggets? I kinda feel like we’re pushing it in the direction of “a bit too much” but my friend gave her kids chicken nuggets three meals out of four and we’re not at that level (yet). She and I are both interested in preparing more home-cooked meals but finding it difficult, especially when the kids won’t reliably eat them anyway. How much is too much for Big Chicken Nugget?
We are traveling to Lisbon in early November and looking for a travel agent who can help put together an itinerary for a pregnant mom and two little kids under 6 (plus husband). Any recs on someone you’ve used? Also looking for someone who can do family photos there!
My job is getting rid of regular teleworking days and requiring people to work in-office for core hours every day, but we can split schedules so we can go home to do school pickup or whatever and then work the rest of the day remotely. Are there downsides you can think of to working something like 7-2 in-office and 3:30-5:30 at home?
