When my oldest was a toddler, we took her on an incredible trip to Yellowstone. For any hike that went beyond the parking lot, we used a carrier like this one.
Unlike other carriers, this one is designed for women, with a shorter adjustable back length and narrower fit. Based on the comments, it’s particularly great for petites! It also has breathable padding and straps, an easy-to-use safety harness system, kickstand, and loads of other features.
It makes getting outside with your little one a breeze.
The Deuter Kid Comfort Active SL Child Carrier is $280 at REI.

Any good books for kids going through a parents’ divorce? Elementary school age, kinda between picture books and chapter books right now. Lots of loyalty issues and tantrums as kiddo goes back and forth between mom and dad’s houses. Kid loves to read so we’re thinking of interspersing a few additional options (not forcing). I’m both overwhelmed and underwhelmed by ama**n.
