I’ve been a bit sporadic with my weight training, but new season, new start, right?
This neoprene hand weight set will find a place in even the most compact home gym. This set includes a pair of 3 pound, 5 pound, and 8 pound weights along with a weight rack. The weights are coated with neoprene for an easy, comfortable grip, and the hexagon-shaped heads will stop them from rolling around.
Maybe by the end of October I’ll be able to lug a really big pumpkin back to my car!
Heliofit’s Neoprene Hand Weight Set is $59.99 at Target.

As my kids got older I needed more weight than that; a single writhing preschooler weighs more than the entire set combined! I do like my 18lb kettlebell for a lot of things though (swings, squats and lunges), and we recently got a set of those adjustable weights that goes up to a total of 44lbs.

And on the flip side of the coin, I only ever use 1 or 2 pound hand weights, so these would all sit unused. :)

+1, i like heavier weights after writhing toddlers. i also feel like my goal has changed to “be strong” in ways it was not before kids. (cue that meme about getting strong because we all may have to make a break for Canada through the forrest sometime soon.)

I don’t like using the neoprene dumbbells larger than 8 pounds anyway. They get too bulky. For heavier weights I use kettlebells.
Car seats three across? says
I’m pregnant with my third and trying to figure out how on earth people do this with carseats! We have a Honda Odyssey minivan and a midsize SUV (has a small third row that we never use).
Right now both my toddler and preschooler are rear facing (we have extended rear facing seats), but preschooler could be turned forward facing. So realistically, I will have one forward facing convertible seat, one rear facing convertible seat, and an infant carrier.
I’d really prefer to have all three in the second row as none will be able to completely buckle themselves. We don’t really use the third row anyway except for hauling stuff around.
Has anyone dealt with this or have ideas?

People definitely do three across, but it may require you to purchase new seats. The diono radian is supposed to be able to do this.

Unless you have unicorn children who never touch each other just to make trouble, I would put one in the third row rather than having them all packed in the middle. With the center seat between the captains chairs removed, I found it easy enough to clamber back there. (It was fantastic when the oldest got big enough to be in a booster with the regular shoulder belt, though.)

I bought a separate small tree like this for my set of neoprene dumbbells from Target and it really improved the clutter factor in my combination home office/rec room/workout room.
