We had a small early full term baby (36 weeks) and our pediatrician told us to wait to take her out in public until after cold and flu season — so maybe 2-3 months from now? I absolutely don’t want her to get sick, but this is becoming a problem for our family because my 5 year old really wants us to go places as a family – to eat, to indoor play places, etc. and is really unhappy that one parent has to stay home with the baby. We don’t have family in town so there’s no one else to stay with the baby. Any ideas on how to handle this? With our first kid, we took him on a plane at 10 weeks so I wasn’t expecting to be so restricted. Thanks!
Ugh my co-leader for Girl Scouts just quit abruptly. We have one other parent who attends our meetings but is unwilling to become an official co-leader (I’m not really sure why, because I offered to do all the planning so all she has to do is show up, which she does anyway), and I don’t think we have any other parents who can attend the meeting times, which are weekday afternoons. I’m worried the troop will disband, which makes me so sad for my kiddo, and this is just the last thing I want to be dealing with at this crazy hectic time of year.
Um I think I’m going to get this for myself. It’s so cute!
