Where have you gotten cute, non-cropped sweaters for early elementary age girls? My daughter loves J. Crew’s aesthetic and I just placed an order from there, but all the tops were cropped, even though that wasn’t clear from the description online. She’s tall and long torsoed, so a crop that’s subtle on others reveals several inches of midriff on her. We’ve had this issue with other retailers like GAP and Old Navy although I feel like they at least make it more clear online what’s cropped. I don’t think it’s ok for my 6 year old to go to school with a bare midriff, but she doesn’t want to wear “baby” clothes like Primary and Hanna anymore and I don’t blame her. I can’t wait for this trend to die!!
i am studying for this test for work and my ability to memorize info seems to be totally gone. in high school i was known for being able to recall every small detail, i have two ivy league degrees and passed two bar exams, but now it’s like the info goes in one ear/eye and out the other. any tips that have worked for you when your brain is more full than it was in your youth?
Thought question for the group — when you are traveling with your kids, either with family or solo, are you more “go along to get along” — and lax about things like screen time and food, or do you stick to the normal boundaries you enforce at home? Does it change if there are other kids around?
Does anyone in the DC/Northern VA (Arlington) area have experience using a home organizer? We’ve been in our house ten years now, and with two kids and two full time jobs, the clutter has gotten out of control. We need someone who can come in and just take care of it – things like closets, kitchen, kids play space, and (worst of all), a huge attic chock full of a handful of things we need and mostly things we don’t. The recommendations online are overwhelming. Thanks!
Pregnancy and nursing bra recommendations? I’m approaching 20 weeks and my normal bras are becoming uncomfortable. I’d like to pick up a handful of bras that I can wear postpartum too. I plan to pump at work. I’ve tried Seraphine’s bamboo version and it was kind of itchy on the band.
Recommendations for back to the office pants postpartum? I still look 4-5 months pregnant, generally carrying weight through stomach, hips, and thighs. My hips widened enough in my last month of pregnancy that my maternity work pants don’t fit, either! This is my second kid and last time I was lucky enough to have a friend about to give birth who lent me her clothes for a few months. No such luck this time!
