CeraVe mineral sunscreen in a yellow-and-white package

Let me join the annual chorus about the importance of wearing sunscreen.

For easy reapplication while I’m out, I like to carry a sunscreen stick like this one in my purse. CeraVe’s SPF 50 sunscreen stick is a 100% mineral sunscreen that uses titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to block the sun’s harmful rays. Unlike many mineral sunscreens, this one has a lightweight, clear finish thanks to “InvisibleZinc Technology.” It also has essential ceramides to restore and maintain your skin’s natural barrier.

CeraVe’s 100% Mineral Sunscreen Stick is $8.59 at Target.

WWYD? We’re leaving tomorrow for a ten day road trip. My cleaning crew is supposed to come to the house on day 4. The only problem is, they leave the house unlocked EVERY time they leave. I have talked to them about this multiple times. My husband suggested we skip the cleaning (they come every two weeks). But I’d really like to come home to a clean house. Would it be a big ask to ask my neighbor to come lock up the house when the cleaners leave?

Need help talking to my daughter about healthy eating and moderation. She is almost 12 and I’ve noticed an uptick in her love of junk food. I have been trying to teach her about moderation and balance but feel like im losing to deliciously engineered foods. We’re on vacation at grandmas house and having access to her well-stocked pantry isn’t helping the situation.

Any recommendations for mouth-fidgets/ chewable jewelry? My 4yo clearly needs something. When I remind him not to chew his nails, he chews his braid; when I remind him not to chew his braid, he chews his shirt.

Hi all. I’ve posted about my now rising K/5.5 yo’s gross habit of finger sucking. We’ve tried SO many things – chew necklaces, nail polish, fidget toys, bandaids, and nothing has really stopped it. The only thing that’s seemed to reduce is: bandaids, reminders, and then saying “You can do it while sleeping but nowhere else”, but then when tired and doing it my kid will tell me “I’m pretending to sleep, that’s all!”

It clearly gives him some type of comfort and/or he doesn’t realize he’s doing it. I have noticed he’s pretty good about listening to reminders and/or not doing it when we’re out and about.

I’m underwater right now with solo parenting a ton this summer, a major home fix, and of course being summer fUn Mom where I can while working FT. Also I should mention one kid is recovering from a minor injury and the 5.5 yo is on antibiotics due to strep.

I’m asking more for myself than kiddo – do I just let this go? I feel like I’m always on top of him for this, and often times it causes strain (he does a “ughhhhhhhhhh”) and it’s not how I want to parent but it’s also unhygienic.

Any attorneys out there do contract work only? I’m a patent attorney with 15 years of experience considering the possibility in a year or two. Looking for any advice or thoughts.

I’ve started getting dark spots on my hands and have started using this stick to apply sunblock to the back of my hands between hand washing and for driving.

I posted recently about being on a collision course with my husband due to our mismatch in perceptions of when things need to get done (related to our move). Since then, he’s continued on his path and had one full breakdown with tears about how burnt out he is. He has gone for maybe one walk. Any suggestion I make or structure I set up to make life easier (quick dinner ready, whatever it is) makes no difference. It’s very much starting to feel like he is giving so much energy to his anxieties that he has little left for our marriage. I am NOT looking for advice but as I sit here alone because I don’t want to go have a good morning conversation about the 3000 things that have to get done RIGHT NOW, I thought why not compound the situation with an update thread.
