I’m in the market for some new work tops. While browsing, I came across this one from Massimo Dutti.

While it appears basic at first, there are a few little details that keep me coming back — the flowing silhouette, buttoned double cuffs, central seam, and high neck set it apart from your usual buttoned dress shirt. I especially love the dark green color for fall/winter. It would even work as a subtle holiday party top.

This shirt is $100 at Massimo Dutti and comes in sizes XS-L.

Here’s another option (available in three other colors besides green) that’s on sale for $35 at Dillard’s and comes in sizes 1X-3X.

Has anyone had experience with OT to address extreme picky eating?

Not (human) parenting related, but we have a family of (stray?) kittens that seems to be living in our backyard under our shed. Do we do anything? Who do we call?

Random PSA sharing a couple things that have made my life more comfortable at home with a baby:
1. Setting up an air filter right next to the diaper pail. I had it for wildfire smoke, but never thought of using it this way.
2.; Draping a heating pad on the back of my glider. Helps with all the postpartum backaches and keeps me warm nursing topless.

Is there any way to avoid getting my work clothes slimed by my baby when getting ready in the mornings that I’m missing? Right now I’m just limiting my wardrobe to clothes where the boogers on the shoulders aren’t so obvious. I’m in tech, so I’ve never actually worked with any other mothers with small children, do they just change at work or avoid touching their child while in work clothes?

Help me with my clothing overload! I have 4 kids, with my last two born after most of my friends were done having kids. My older two receive hand me downs from their local cousins, which get boxed up until they are ready to wear them. When my older two outgrow items, I box them up for my younger two. In addition, since my younger two are the “youngest” in our friend group, they have also been the recipient of many, many hand me downs. Especially when they were younger, I just accepted the bags with gratitude, as I was never sure what we’d end up needing (I’ve said our younger kids are all set, so at least no more extra items for our younger kids – just what the older kids hand down now).

We have a closet in our guest room that is ostensibly “organized” bins of clothing by size (allegedly), but it’s pretty haphazard and there is so much stuff, it’s honestly really hard to find the right clothing that is in season and the right size (as in, my youngest son only has two pairs of pants in his drawer bc I’m dreading going to the “closet” to try to dig out the right sized pair of pants!!). When the youngest one outgrows something, it is immediately donated – so there’s nothing easy to cull from the herd.

This summer, we are planning a move that is several states away, and I do not want to pay to pack, store, or move WAY too many items of clothing that in all reality, my kids will never wear.

But I’m just overwhelmed at the idea of going through it all. I also grew up with a depression era parent, and though I’m so much better than I was, I really, really struggle with getting rid of something that I “might” need later. Anything I don’t keep will be donated, but I guess I need some motivation? guidance? helpful words to get me started.

Any recommendations for noise cancelling headphones/ear plugs for older kids? Taking my 9 year old to a concert and she definitely won’t want bulky over ear headphones!

What are your best travel tips for traveling with a 4 and 2 year old on a plane at Thanksgiving? It’s a 2.5 four flight, 4 day trip, at a hotel with a kitchenette. Grandparents are driving to the destination and bringing kids’ carseats. They can bring some stuff, but they have a small car. We’re planning on bringing just an umbrella stroller to the airport and we’ve got FAA approved harnesses for the plane seat. Do we bring all 2 yo’s diapers in our luggage or prime them to the hotel? What are the best plane distractions and snacks? We’ve only done roadtrips to family members’ houses at this point, so it’s a new experience for all of us!
