If you like having a wardrobe of sunglasses for the summer, Target has some fun ones that won’t break the bank.
My pick are these oversized ones in a flattering, pink-hued frame. The wider fit is perfect for those who find conventional frames too tight and narrow. At this price, I’ll get a pair for my purse, the pool, and my car.
These sunglasses are $14 at Target.

Can I just say that I think it’s so interesting which threads end up being low-key controversial and getting tons of comments? totally would not have picked the one about school drop off vs bus today. Completely enjoyed reading everyone’s thoughts, don’t get me wrong, but it surprised me.
Another swim team question- where does everyone buy their kids practice suits? Is there a good online outlet?
When I had kids, I downshifted my career. I am now interviewing for big jobs again and feeling nervous about balancing everything with a 1.5 yo and 5 yo. Any general tips?
I think part of the problem is I’m having a hard time imagining what it would be like. For example, right now, I pick-up my 5yo from school, maybe stop by a grocery store, cook dinner, feed the kids, clean-up and bedtime. For a new job, I wouldn’t get home until the after the kids have eaten. How would this even work? Husband would be able to pick up some slack sometimes, but not all the time. How do others do this?
For those that pumped in the office, did you wear your pumping bra all day? I don’t like that idea of having to change bras, but my pumping bras have so little support and my nipples tend to show. I’m trying to figure out what I’ll do before my return to work next week.
Give me something good. I’m feeling really down today.
How much notice should we give our babysitter? It’s not in the contract. She’s been with us for two years, does pickup 3x a week. We like her but can’t afford to pay her while i go on maternity leave.
This is a problem for next school year, but wanted to ask since I’m thinking of it: I just enrolled my kid in kindergarten, and had to commit to a method of delivery. I signed up to do drop-offs myself (versus having a bus pick them up from pre-school care) but I just realized that the drop off time conflicts with an irregular, periodic meeting I have. It will come up maybe once a month, but I can’t always predict when they’ll happen. I will have at least a few days’ notice. And husband is not able to do switch off since that would require him to lose a full day of work. We don’t know any other parents in our district yet, and I’m not great at making friends and husband doesn’t trust other people (I made an earlier post about him not letting another parent whom he hasn’t met watch our kid while I was nearby but not present), but is this the only answer?
What do you do for situations like that?
