Maybe it’s the holidays, but my feed is full of red bags, ranging from bright stoplight red to dark oxblood. This sumptuous burgundy bucket tote will last into the new year and beyond.
Crafted entirely in-house by Lindquist in East Providence, this luxurious tote is made from soft, vegetable-tanned, milled leather and features solid brass hardware, an interior zipper pocket, and adjustable strap. It accommodates a 13″ laptop or tablet as well.
The Lee is $880. In addition to “sumac,” it also comes in five other colors. You can add your initials for an additional fee.

That burgundy ‘sumac’ leather is such a stunning choice for the holidays, and I love that it’s spacious enough to pull double duty for both work essentials and a 13-inch laptop
For all those running themselves ragged getting Christmas- one of my daughter’s top 3 Hanukkah gifts was the $2 scented hand sanitizer she received (and she got plenty of other stuff)
To those hosting Christmas – can we start a list of things to do/remember to make things run smoothly? I’m hoping to get some prep done tonight because we have Christmas Eve plans and then host Christmas breakfast.
I’ll start:
-prep bin of random things people ask for (tylenol, tums, nail file, tampon)
-gift unwrapping bin (scissors, recycling bag, garbage bag, totes for people to take their gifts home)
-bin of extra socks/slippers (no shoes house)
Confession: I don’t like Santa. I like that other people find joy in him, but I hate the corporate flavor that it inevitably brings to Christmas. I work hard to keep my mouth shut and not bring down the vibe for people, but I’m so ready for Santa to be gone.
I have a second grader who isn’t into sports, which is totally fine; I just want her to find something she enjoys. She’s in Girl Scouts and takes a weekly theater class (she’s okay with it), and I’m looking into art classes through our rec center since she loves art camp in the summer. Currently playing basketball and tolerates it.
Next year in third grade she can try choir or an instrument at school. I try to follow her interests, but she does benefit from a little encouragement to try things. I’d love to hear about any activities you or your kids have enjoyed or that have been positive experiences just to get some more ideas.
What’s a good cookie dough recipe I can make today and then roll out and bake tomorrow?
i posted yesterday about a sick kid and we are supposed to leave for vacation tomorrow. she was fever free all day yesterday, but of course spiked a fever over night. needless to say we will not be getting on a plane tomorrow. i feel SO badly for her as she got the flu and so she and I missed our spring break trip. DH was really really looking forward to this trip as he got promoted and really wanted to enjoy these two weeks off. if we can afford it, is it totally irresponsible to essentially spend double the amount on the hotel to go later dates. i had gotten us such a good rate…
Aah I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and am annoyed with everyone. My husband and kids for never being able to find anything and my kids for treating their toys as disposable, I swear they have lost 10 wiffle balls in the last few weeks with just a shrug. Need some Christmas spirit!
My kids have 2 full weeks off of school. My work is supportive of people taking off but there are also things with specific year end submission deadlines. I’ve (unfortunately) risen to a level where I’m the one who has to figure it out if staff are out and things come up. I have no motivation and just want to log off but can’t.
Anyone else fully on the struggle bus?
