Most mornings, I only have time for a little concealer and a tinted moisturizer like this one from Jones Road.

This lightweight tinted moisturizer evens skin tone with just enough coverage for the best version of your skin. This five-star product is packed with ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, which is a humectant that’s smaller than hyaluronic acid so it quickly hydrates and restores. It’s available in 16 shades so that you can find the perfect one for your busy mornings or “no makeup” days.

Jones Road’s Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer is $44.

DH is on work travel, and I stayed up late watching the Off Campus series (which was a delight). But why did I do this when I knew I had something important to turnaround today at work?!

Any sneaker recommendations for 6 year old with wide feet that don’t cost $50+? Thanks.

Babyproofing question! For those of you what put up mesh netting on your banisters, what age did you take it down? Mine are 21 months and 4. It’s ugly and I want to remove it, lol.

Help me brainstorm ways to alleviate some of my husband’s burnout. He’s a legal aid attorney, but treated more like a social worker, and for Reasons, has to stay in his current job for another 18 months. He’s become negative and depressed after nearly 10 years in this work: not exercising, complaining about clients constantly, has a hard time feeling energetic with our kids (ages 3 and 6), gaining weight from poor time/eating options, and feels generally put-upon by just about everything. He dreads every summer because of all the extended family birthdays and change in kids’ routines. Meanwhile, his attitude is really affecting my ability to enjoy time together as a family and the summer. What we’re doing so far to offload: he’s cut his workday down by an hour; he gets one night “off” a week where I do dinner and bedtime with the kids; we have a house cleaner every other week; we outsource laundry; we get groceries delivered. Previously we set up a budget for him to use for fancy gym classes to address a chronic injury, but he felt overwhelmed trying to schedule the classes. We can throw some money at this issue, but not housemanager/nanny-level money. But his underlying issue is emotional burnout, whereas money seems more useful for addressing mental loads or time squeezes. Throw me all your ideas, though!

Kind of a long shot but – Anyone have experience with YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain location? I keep reading the Estes location is better in the summer, but we are going a very busy week and most everything is booked.

We have timed entry for the park, including one day for Bear Lake, but I’m thinking of cancelling that and just doing the west side of the park. I don’t mind missing the most popular sites this time as we will likely come back in another year or two.

Online reviews are mixed so I’m a little torn.

Any experience with blackout curtains from Pottery Barn? Need something that’s actually dark…

In widow life news, today is day 5 of an 11 day vacation to Disney with my kids. Yesterday my Apple Watch bit the dust and last night my 7 year old threw up on me and the bed at 1:30am. Pretty sure it was the evening funnel cake and no real food in his stomach, but we’ll see how today goes. Luckily today is a rest day but fingers crossed for a less eventful second half of the trip.

I was at a kid sports tournament where we stayed in dorms and the college cafeteria was included in the cost. More than half the team decided they wouldn’t eat the cafeteria food and went out for every meal. The food wasnt fancy, but the quality was fine and there was a full salad bar.

Would you have eaten at the cafeteria? Would you expect your kid to eat at the cafeteria or would you take them for Starbucks (breakfast), Chipotle (lunch), and sushi (dinner)?
