A lot of my outerwear is neutral — think black, navy, camel, or gray. Coats are probably one of the most expensive things I buy, so I need them to last forever and go with everything. But one day, I’d love to splurge on a coat like this one.
This bright, wool-blend coat has a colorful plaid print to brighten the dreariest days. And it’s more versatile that first meets the eye. The black/blue/pink/burgundy/white palette picks up those same colors in your clothes, and it easily pairs with almost any neutral as well. This coat is even available in khaki/ecru, a more earth-toned color combination.
This Isabel Marant Étoile coat is $750 at Nordstrom and comes in sizes 0 US/32 FR to 12 US/44 FR.
For a more affordable (and more casual) option, consider this coat from Levi’s, on sale for $129.99 (down from $220) at Nordstrom.

I scheduled an appointment for the flu and Covid vaccines for DS (4) at our local health department. I got my flu and Covid shots at the same time earlier this month and was in bed with flu-like side effects the next day. Should I space out DS’ vaccines by a week or two in case he has the same reaction?
Where is everyone!?
Are there booster seats that fit three across in a standard sedan? I naively thought once we were out of the car seat stage of life it wouldn’t be hard to drive 3 kids in the backseat of my car (Toyota Camry) but I realized our Graco backless boosters won’t go three across.
I’m thinking we’ve outgrown our 2-bedroom apartment. It’s me, my husband, and our currently 10 month old. We need to have an office space somewhere, and we go camping regularly and have LOTS of outdoors gear and no garage or shed. Due to a variety of factors, we can’t move for at least another year. I lean minimalist and have always balked at the idea of a storage unit for anything more than assistance in moving. (You’re spending hundreds of dollars to keep stuff that you look at once a year! Even if it has stuff you would otherwise use, the inconvenience in accessing it means that you never do actually use that stuff.) I am capable of decluttering and rearranging a house myself, but for 2 things – personal time constraints (between a baby and a job, when would I have the time?) and my husband has a million things he would rather do than sort through his stuff and has much lower standards of housekeeping than I do.
Suggestions for overcoming either one or both of those things? I’ve thought about hiring someone, but I don’t know who I’d even hire – professional organizers seem a little more focused on people who already have an idea of where they’d like to put things, while I think we’re going to need to rearrange our house entirely and am not certain how to do it.
