I don’t usually think of Lands’ End for workwear, but this long-line cardigan has me reconsidering my assumptions.

This smooth, cotton-blend cardigan has patch pockets and belt loops for a self-tie belt. Add your favorite blouse and tailored pants for an outfit that will take you into early spring. Reviews mention it runs large, so consider sizing down.

This cardigan is on sale for $62.96 (originally $89.95) and comes in four neutral colors, including the pictured navy. It’s available in sizes XS 2-4 to XL 18 as well as petite and plus sizes. Today you can get 30% all full-price styles with code.

My daughter is turning 4 in a few months and we’re looking at signing her up for preschool for next fall. There’s a Tu/Th afternoon class, or a M/W/F morning class. The Tu/Th would be better in almost every way except that the start time conflicts with her current nap schedule. Should we do it anyway? There’s been one or two missed naps in the last month, but I have no idea what it’ll be like six months from now.

DS is 4.5 and knows 80 percent of uppercase letters, and almost no lowercase ones. He can only write two letters of his first name. I think most of his classmates at preschool are at the same point, though there are of course some who are farther along. Should we expect that he will learn these at school eventually, or should we be working with him at home on recognizing letters and writing his name?

The first child has died of measles in the current outbreak. So tired and righteously angry about all the “measles is safe, we all had it and survived!” comments… and nervously counting down the months until my youngest can get her first shot

We ended up without camp or family help for a couple of weeks this summer. My 7 year old plays really well alone and my husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules (him in particular) so it should be manageable, but I’d like to give some structure to her day. I remember some discussion of giving kids in this situation a kind of checklist they have to get through each day to earn privileges like screentime, but now I can’t find the discussion. Any suggestions?

TW: childhood cancer

Any suggestions for a care package for a 12 year old girl who has to go through chemo and miss a couple months of school? The prognosis is very good but it’s obviously still very scary and life-changing. I don’t know her well. The parents are casual friends of ours. They have a big social circle and are involved in several very tightknit communities (religious org, small private school, etc.) so they have tons of much closer people supporting them and spearheading things like a meal train and all that, but I would like to get something small for the kiddo. I wouldn’t have thought an almost-teen would like the things my 7 year old is into, like fancy journals and squishmallows, but her mom actually mentioned her enjoying stuff like that that her friends sent. Maybe something like that and an A-zon gift card for her to get Kindle books or video games? I know she has her own electronic devices. Or other suggestions?

Anyone have experience with plantar warts on kids? My 8yo has one big one and about four small ones on her feet. We’ve been treating them with salicylic acid wart pads at night and making sure she always wears socks in the house. She does have a pediatrician’s appt coming up because one of them is really bothering her.

Recommendations for professional looking tops that will get me through my pregnancy and maybe post-partum stages? I’m realizing most of my warmer weather tops don’t have enough give for my growing belly — or they’re too short to cover up the unattractive stretchy band in my maternity pants. I’ve made it through the winter in sweaters but sweaters are too hot for me now. Also dealing with hot flashes (that’s a pregnancy thing right? I’m not both going through menopause and pg at the same time?).

I suppose I’m looking for tops that are professional looking, breathable, and stretchy. Not necessarily maternity tops, I’ve been pretty disappointed by the tops at Seraphine and Hatch, but of course open to other options. Thanks all!

Is there like A Time to start wearing maternity jeans? I’m only 6 weeks but my jeans were snug to begin with. Do I just buy the next size up or make the switch to maternity.
