This luxe tote hits all the right notes for fall.
Made from soft calfskin leather in the UK, this sleek tote looks like it could easily hold all of your essentials and then some. The handles are just the right length for carrying on your shoulder or in your hand, and there’s an interior wall pocket for little things like your keys or phone.
It’s available in four autumnal colors, including the very on-trend “black cherry.”
Mulberry’s Clovelly Calfskin Leather Tote is $1,595 at Nordstrom.
P.S. Happy Rosh Hashanah to those who celebrate!

I didn’t believe it, but I had the procedure done and I saw the effect, I was incredibly surprised.
Advice please for getting along with inlaws? DH and I have been married 15 years. I have had a good relationship with my inlaws most of that time though we lived 3 hours away. We moved closer to them last year and now our relationship is strained. The biggest flashpoint has been my daughter’s birthday. I organized a birthday party for our youngest at a local gymnastics gym and invited them and did not realize the unspoken requirement is that all birthdays are celebrated at their house with my MIL cooking a favorite meal, and then everyone swims. My inlaws got so upset and thought I was trying to exclude them from the festivities even though they were invited to the party. They came, sat and stewed during the whole event, then they showed up at our house unannounced after her birthday and insisted on taking her for ice cream. DH said we should just go along with it so he went with them, and it sort of calmed them down. They rarely call before coming over, and if they do come over, they either want to sit around and chat for a while or they “drive by” and then later call to say they drove by. I find both situations difficult. When they come over unannounced, it’s disruptive. I work from home and can’t always drop everything. I mentioned that when I get together with friends for lunch, we usually plan a week in advance, and that really put my MIL off. She said, we can’t plan that far out. They also criticize, like my MIL stopped by for coffee unannounced and complained that I didn’t have creamer for her. I don’t use creamer. Or she will look around the house and go “hmmmm” about any kid messes she sees around the house. I also find it strange they drive by our house. I suppose they don’t come in because they don’t want to be disruptive, but isn’t it strange? Sort of snoopy? They’re both retired and I think bored.

We’ll be in London on the weekend in between Christmas and New Year’s. Looking for ideas on what to do for a day or two with 10 and 13 year old. We were there last year so leaning towards a visit to the Planetarium and Buckingham Palace tour (though the tour is a little pricey – has anyone done it?). I had hoped to take them to the Cursed Child play but it’s two parts so it would take up the whole day/evening. We did the Harry Potter tour last time so don’t really want to repeat that.
Does anyone have the Keekaroo peanut changer? We just got one and it has some tape to secure it to a dresser top, but I’m worried it might damage the wood. This is the first nice dresser we’ve ever had (Amish made) and I’m hesitant to use tape. Can anyone comment on whether it leaves damage?
How do you guys stick things to your non-magnetic refrigerators? We had been using washi tape but I just took everything down and it still left some sticky residue. Or maybe the answer is to leave it empty and put up a bulletin board instead…
Parents with grade school kids – what, if anything, do you require in terms of outside-of-school activities? I know some families require 1 sport and 1 instrument, or religious school, etc.? My son currently has a lot on his plate with sports but several are wrapping up at the end of the fall. I’d like to require an “art” activity to replace a sport (an instrument, art class, theater program) but not sure if I’m being unreasonable. He’s the kind of kid who needs a push to basically try/do just about anything, so the “wait until he expresses an interest in doing an activity” will not achieve the goal of him trying new things.
Does anyone know brands that carry boys’ size soft pants that run super slim? I know that some brands have slim sizing, but it seems to mostly be things like jeans. My son is a 7/8 with probably a 4t waist. Some of the adjustable waists only adjust down so far.
