If you need an inexpensive bag that’s game day-ready, consider this clear crossbody from Target’s Universal Thread.
This clear crossbody has the same silhouette as a bag you probably already have in your closet — it has two top handles, an interior zip pocket, and an adjustable crossbody strap. This roomy bag has space for your phone, wallet, keys, and more.
This clear bag is $20 at Target and is available in black or brown trim.

I’ll try to post again tomorrow: if you invited (my) twins to your child’s birthday party, would you rather receive two gifts or one large gift?
My 9 year old daughter has a frenemy (? i don’t love that word, but can’t really think of a better way to describe it) who is mostly fine one-on-one but really bad in groups. She picks one kid in the group as her designated friend and treats everyone else terribly. I think it must come from a place of insecurity, but her behavior is really bad. Other moms have observed this and commented on it to me, it’s not just my daughter’s/my perspective. Most of my daughter’s friends want nothing to do with this girl, and I can’t say I blame them. My daughter still enjoys seeing her one-on-one so we accept their (frequent) play date invites although we don’t initiate very much. However as they get older and things become more group-centric, this approach is breaking down. We’re carpooling with 2 friends to an out of town event this weekend and the frenemy’s mom just asked me about carpooling — normally I’m a “the more the merrier” person but I feel like I can’t add her to the group knowing she’ll start drama and probably be really mean to at least 2 of the girls. Anyone had a situation like this? how did you handle it?
Has anyone’s kids had Lyme disease? DS has weird joint pain and swollen lymph nodes that we can’t pinpoint to an injury. We saw the ped this morning – they said if it doesn’t resolve over the weekend we can get the bloodwork done (they already put in the order). FWIW we’re in the mid-Atlantic and outdoors a ton.
A surprisingly cool recommendation for the holiday gift list.
We bought a mushroom growing kit. I’m on campus all week so eating sad university cafeteria food (my kingdom for a US college-style salad bar), but my family reported the oyster mushrooms were delicious.
Any recommendations for nursing tops and sweatshirts? I don’t want them to say “mommy’s milk bar” or anything cutesy like that. Just regular clothing, preferably with zipper access. I feel like these are surprisingly hard to find! all the brands I used for my first don’t seem to make them anymore.
