like-it - Boot Space Saver Set of 2

Packing away your cold weather boots and booties?

This clever boot space saver sure beats the giant cardboard box I keep mine in. This boot saver keeps your boots from tumbling over, prevents creases, and saves space.

Just slide one boot heel up and one heel down. Use that found closet space to add another pair to your collection!

like-it’s Boot Space Saver is $19.99 for a set of two at Container Store.

help me pick a vacation destination! Going for 10 days in mid August with DH and our son (will be 4.5 mo at the time). Would like to go somewhere international a direct flight fromNYC, and maybe split the trip into the two destinations—one relaxing (beach or mountains etc), one with some culture.

My seven year old is really into greek mythology. he reads on a first grade level (which to me means not quite chapter books). I want to get him into a series over the summer – any suggestions? I think a graphic novel would be well received.

do you review your child’s report card with them? or their results to standardized tests they take in school? particularly for elementary schoolers? mine are only in kindergarten and so far i’ve taken a glance and put them away and while kiddo brings them home in their backpack i dont think they really seem to look at them or knwo what they are.

I think I need a life coach. My husband and I are struggling with some decisions and we both feel like we’re talking in circles. I would like to talk to a neutral third party. But I don’t have a trusted adult in my life who’s good at making decisions. Might a therapist be good for this? I’ve done therapy in the past but it’s more “help me with this specific relationship problem” type of therapy.

DS has been asking for me to paint his nails. I actually don’t own nail polish so I will have to buy some. Are there good nail wraps for 3-year old fingers? I thought that would be easier than nail polish which will take a while to dry.

Is the Stokke Tripp Trapp worth it? We like the idea of a wooden seat that can grow with the child, but we have limited space and we really need to make sure any particular item is worth its salt – especially if it’s expensive.

I have an almost 2.5 year old and have always had a nanny. She’s great with him. My husband is pushing to put our son in daycare this fall for various legitimate reasons and I’m having a hard time with this decision. I’m worried about him making the transition to being away from home all day and us making the transition away from the nanny and the little things she does to keep our house running smoothly. Can anyone share their experience or any advice about making this change? I know we’ll all be fine in the end but it’s just a big step.

Summer woes: I’m feeling very mentally burned out. The end of school year is packed with activities and extras, and now we’re two weeks into the summer schedule. And the word schedule is a joke, as nearly every week is going to be different. And one of my kids has ramped up his involvement in a certain activity and it’s been more of a commitment than I anticipated. (Not to mention that we’ve shelled out hundreds for new gear in the past two weeks.) The combination of everything is breaking my brain and I’m feeling resentful and tapped out. Not to mention super unfocused during the workday. Any words of wisdom for bouncing back from the school year or handling the many scheduling challenges that arise during the summer? DH just started a new job so has way less flexibility right now.

Anyone have some good work from home routines/tips?

Changed up my schedule and I can now work from home 2 days a week. One of my big goals with this is to be able to give our family a little more space- I’ll 100% be working, but also with the lack of commute and a lunch hour I’ll have an extra 2ish hours per day to get some of the home stuff done. Does anyone have any WFH habits that give you a little more time on evenings and weekends?
