Any other MIdwesterners have no school tomorrow due to the cold?
Small Monday wins: There’s no school today but DH and I are still working from home. So I prepped a list of activities for when a kid came to me complaining of boredom. You guys, it actually worked! One of the kids just came up complaining ‘What can I doooo?’, I printed off the list, and they scampered upstairs to check off one of the items. Let’s see how long this lasts…
I asked last Thursday about bringing a 3 yo to a wake/funeral, and this is a boring update but we ended up not bringing our kid to either event. MIL went to the wake for a few hours to be with her mother and was able to let us know when it got less crowded. When MIL got back DH and I were able to drop our kid off with her and go through ourselves when it was much much less busy. There were a few other smaller kids there, so I think it would have been fine if we didn’t have someone to babysit, but it was definitely easier this way.
